LIVERPOOL V BAYER LEVERKUSEN

8pm The Champions League returns on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with some cracking fixtures on Tuesday. So far, the best way to describe the new Champions League format has been lacklustre – lots of odds on favourites in seemingly one sided games. Of course that used to happen in the old Group stage, but this week it feels like we have a fantastic week ahead. In the last round of Champions League games, only one fixture didn’t have an odds on favourites – this time around we have some very competitive betting heats with only two teams trading shorter than 1.3 over Tuesday and Wednesday. We have three very interesting betting heats on Tuesday, and we kick it off with Liverpool hosting Bayer Leverkusen. It was a superb weekend for Liverpool in the Premier League with Arsenal and Manchester City losing – they now have a nice two point lead at the top of the table. They have had the perfect start to the Champions League too with three wins from three games, and they should be sailing into the Last 16 as a seeded team. Bayer Leverkusen are currently sitting inside the top eight too, but their start to the season has definitely been lacklustre.

More dropped points in the Bundesliga on Friday night left them seven points behind Bayern Munich at the top of the table. There’s such a big gulf in class between the top sides and the rest in the Bundesliga that it’s hard to see Leverkusen closing that gap – I would suggest the title race is as good as over in Germany! Leverkusen are still a fantastic attacking side though, and they could easily give Liverpool problems. Liverpool come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.75 with Bayer Leverkusen 4.8 and the draw is 4.4 at the time of writing. While Liverpool haven’t been creating the same volume of chances this season as they were under Klopp, it seems Arne Slot has fixed their issues at the back – they have been very solid, they have the fourth best defensive figure and they are conceding less than one goal a game on average. Why Leverkusen have dropped so many points this season is they have been sloppy at the back, and that’s where I feel the difference will be here. Liverpool are a very appealing bet at 1.75, and I can’t look past that price to start the evening.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Liverpool to beat Bayer Leverkusen at 1.75 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V AC MILAN

8pm Next we have a European blockbuster that makes the Champions League the special tournament we love. Real Madrid host AC Milan with both sides on the backfoot in the Champions League this season. Real Madrid had a shock loss against Lille – that leaves them coming into this week sitting down in 12th so would need to go through knockout phase play-offs. Their La Liga game at the weekend was postponed so Barcelona have gone nine points clear after winning El Clasico 4-0 last weekend – tough times for Real Madrid at the moment. It’s also been tough times for AC Milan – they are struggling in the Champions League with just one win from their three games. They had a very difficult start against Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen – things hardly get any easier here away to Real Madrid! They do have a pretty easy fixture list after this, so on paper you’d expect AC Milan to make a late charge up the table but a loss here would obviously leave them under immense pressure. Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.51 with AC Milan 6.8 and the draw is 5.0 at the time of writing.

AC Milan grinded out a 1-0 win at the weekend, but they are eight points behind Napoli at the top of the Serie A table – they have a game in hand but that’s quite a gap. AC Milan should be higher too as they have the second best attacking figure in Serie A this season. As you would expect, Real Madrid have some very impressive under-lining numbers but they have been sloppy at the back at times this season. Most of their issues have come away from home, but I wouldn’t exactly be rushing to take the 1.51 on the home win here. AC Milan aren’t quite getting over the line in games, but they are playing good football. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.54 which is only three ticks bigger than the Real Madrid win, while Both Teams To Score is 1.7. I do feel we’ll see an open game here, and AC Milan have created enough to suggest that they can score here – plus Real have been conceding a lot of goals this season too. Both Teams To Score is a nice position in my opinion.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.7 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SPORTING LISBON V MANCHESTER CITY

8pm We finish Tuesday night with Sporting Lisbon hosting Manchester City – we have plenty of talking points to this fixture! Not only is Sporting Lisbon manager on the way to Manchester United, Manchester City had a shock loss at the weekend in the Premier League too. A 2-1 loss away to Bournemouth leaves them sitting two points behind Liverpool at the top of the table. There’s been absolutely no drama for Sporting Lisbon in Portugal – they are having a perfect season so far and sit comfortably at the top of the table with a 100% record from ten games. Obviously they will be going through big changes now that Ruben Amorim is moving to Manchester United, but they’ve had an excellent start to the Champions League so he leaves them in a good position. They are currently sitting in eighth place, but they do have some tough fixtures coming up. They face City here, then Arsenal and they also have to travel to RB Leipzig in January too. This is a game that City will be expected to win, and it’ll be interesting to see can they get the job done against a very exciting Sporting side.

The reality is there is a huge gulf in class between the Portuguese League and the Premier League. Manchester City come into the game as the odds on favourites, but there are plenty of willing layers – Pep Guardiola’s side are currently trading 1.87 with Sporting Lisbon 4.3 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing. City have dropped points away from home this season – you can forgive them the 2-2 draw with Arsenal (at home) but the 1-1 draw away to Newcastle and then obviously the 2-1 loss at the weekend are bitterly disappointing. They’ve actually really struggled to keep clean sheets this season – they have only managed two from their ten Premier League games. Ironically, they’ve kept three from three clean sheets in the Champions League! However, away from home I feel Sporting can find the net at some stage. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.63 with Both Teams To Score at two ticks shorter trading 1.61. Sporting have been superb going forward this season, obviously there is a big jump in class here but I still feel with City leaking goals domestically that Sporting can find a goal – Both Teams To Score is worth backing at 1.61 in my opinion.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.61 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
