ROMA V ATALANTA

7.45pm The focus for Monday night football from Europe this week is Serie A as we have a cracker on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! Roma host Atalanta in what should be an excellent game; Roma have been going through a very difficult time at the moment and they didn’t get that “new manager bounce” straight away either as they lost again last weekend. That’s five losses from their last six Serie A games, but perhaps the 2-2 draw away to Spurs on Thursday night in the Europa League somewhat steadied the ship. They need something good to happen in Serie A soon however – even though they are in mid-table they are only two points off the relegation zone!

Atalanta will fancy this fixture – they will view Roma as there for the taking, and Atlanta have been playing some very good football this season. We have a very open title battle in Serie A at the moment, and Atalanta are one of those in the hunt – they started this matchday only one point behind league leaders Napoli. They currently have the best attacking figure with an average xG created of 1.72, and they are in the top five defensive figures too. It’s hard to knock Atalanta this season, and it’s easy to see why they could into the game as the favourites.

Atalanta are trading 2.34 with Roma 3.35 and the draw is 3.6 at the time of writing. Although you could easily say that Roma have been in crisis this season, they actually haven’t played that poorly. They have the sixth best attacking figure, they haven’t been too bad at the back either. You could say that they are struggling to get over the post Jose Mourinho era – they definitely over-performed under Mourinho and tasted success that doesn’t come that often – that’s going to be hard to move on from and to be honest there must be something going on in the dressing room to sack a manager so early in the season.

I’m going to keep stakes small here as Roma are still finding their feet under Claudio Ranieri who has come out of retirement to manage them, however the 2.34 on Atalanta looks a very nice position here. They are playing much better football compared to Roma this season, and the Atalanta away performances have been top class this season too – their average xG created away from home is as high as 1.72. They’ve won their last seven Serie A games, including a 3-0 win away to Napoli, and I’m very happy with them at 2.34.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Atalanta to beat Roma at 2.34 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
