FULHAM V ARSENAL

2pm It’s a huge Super Sunday from the Premier League with two London Derbies to enjoy on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! It’s a busier than usual Sunday after a full midweek fixture list and we have three fixtures kicking off at 2pm, but by far the pick of them in my view is Fulham hosting Arsenal. It’s already been an excellent week for Arsenal as they beat Manchester United 2-0 while Liverpool drew 2-2 with Newcastle. That closes the gap to seven points coming into this weekend, which I have to say does feel like a lot – especially with Liverpool playing so well under Arne Slot this season and Arsenal not at their best. Much has been made about decisions against Arsenal this season, but it’s clear looking at their under-lining numbers that they haven’t been playing as well as last season. Their average xG created if 1.59 compared to 1.83 last season, and they have been a lot less solid at the back too – last season they had the best defensive figure in the Premier League with an average xG conceded of just 0.92 but this season that figure is 1.29. That’s quite a difference – for example their overall performance figure this season is +0.30 but last season it was +0.91.

It’s easy to see why they have been dropping more points. Fulham actually have a very similar attacking figure to Arsenal this season, and this won’t be a straightforward task for Arsenal in my opinion. Fulham have been very solid at home and they aren’t a million miles off Arsenal points wise but there is obviously a little gulf in class between the sides. Arsenal come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.64 with Fulham 6.0 and the draw is 4.4 at the time of writing. I have to say with the level that Fulham have been playing at this season and Arsenal conceding more chances this season, the 1.64 feels a little short here. Fulham had a very good win midweek here against Brighton too, and I just feel this game will be a lot closer than the odds suggest. From a value point of view I’m happy with a small Arsenal lay at the odds in what should be a close game. Another option is Both Teams To Score at 1.89, but I’m happy with the Arsenal lay.

One point lay (liability) Arsenal to beat Fulham at 1.64 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE

TOTTENHAM V CHELSEA

4.30pm We finish Sunday with a cracker as Spurs host Chelsea. Another London Derby to enjoy, and this should be an intriguing game. Spurs have been playing some excellent football under Ange Postecoglou this season but they just haven’t been getting over the line in games. They have the second best attacking figure and the second best defensive figure, but they find themselves sitting in mid-table. Postecoglou must be tearing his hair out, and not only that but he faces all the questions about his style of play in every interview – it’s clear Spurs are playing good football and they have to stick with this process now. It’s not like they had much success prior anyway! A lot of football fans were writing off Chelsea coming into this season after another change in manager and so many new signings during the summer, but they’ve actually got themselves into the title race this season. They are the outsiders of course, but they are in the mix and Cole Palmer is in exceptional form. They are starting the weekend seven points behind Liverpool so they need a collapse from Arne Slot’s men, but you never know what can happen.

We had a very open betting heat here when the market first went live, but Chelsea have been very well backed as the week has gone on. Chelsea are trading 2.16 with Tottenham 3.35 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. Postecoglou ended up having a bit of a run-in with the Spurs fans after the Bournemouth loss on Thursday; it’s just another drama around Spurs and it feels like there’s no “good vibe or feeling” around the club at the moment despite the stats highlighting some positive things on the pitch. It feels like classic Spurs, they are just not getting the job done in the key moment – a bit soft in football terms if you like. I did feel that Chelsea could get the job done here, but at the same time I feel the 2.16 is now too short – that’s an over-reaction to the situation in my opinion. This game does screams goals though, and the market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.4. Both Teams To Score is one tick shorter too – I don’t feel there’s much value there, and with Chelsea a little short I’m happy with a small bet on the draw at 4.1.

The Striker Says:
One point win Draw at 4.1 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
