WEST HAM V WOLVES

8pm We have Monday Night Football to enjoy from the Premier League on BETDAQ Betting Exchange to start the week! West Ham host Wolves in what might not be the most high quality game, but we do have both sides under immense pressure. Can we call this a relegation battle? West Ham would certainly hope not, but this current situation with Julen Lopetegui rarely ends well for the manager. Any manager that seemingly gets “x amount of games” to turn things around, never really lasts once those rumours start. Wolves have the same situation with Gary O’Neil too!

The two clubs are going through so much drama at the moment, I can’t even guarantee they’ll both have their current managers from the time I write this to kick off! It definitely looks like Gary O’Neil is going to go at Wolves – I suppose the reality of the situation, for both clubs, is that they don’t exactly have a queue of managers lining up to take over. The Wolves situation just isn’t attractive, and West Ham fans gave David Moyes a lot of grief too even after he brought them the Europa Conference League.

West Ham come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.94 with Wolves 4.0 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. It’s hard to have faith in either side to be honest. I don’t see West Ham getting too involved in the relegation fight despite their current troubles, but Wolves are in danger. That recent win for Leicester, coupled with the fact that they have a new manager buzz with Rudd van Nistelrooy should set the alarm bells ringing at Wolves given they sit inside the bottom three at the moment.

The problems for West Ham are clearly at the back. They conceded a huge amount of chances last season, and this season has been the same. They have an attacking figure in the top half of the table, but when you’re conceding that many chances it’s always difficult. Wolves have a marginally worse average xG conceded compared to West Ham, and they’ve also been very sloppy at the back – coming into this match day they have conceded the most goals this season.

I do feel that the 1.94 is a little short on West Ham, but there’s nothing from Wolves that would suggest it’s a good idea to support them in the market here. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market, and to be honest this game screams goals with both sides so poor at the back. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.64 with Both Teams To Score at two ticks shorter. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet, but I marginally prefer the Overs option at 1.64.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.64 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
