FA CUP SATURDAY: The Striker previews LIVERPOOL v ACCRINGTON STANLEY and MANCHESTER CITY v SALFORD CITY both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
LIVERPOOL V ACCRINGTON STANLEY
12.15pm It’s a hectic Saturday in the Third Round of the FA Cup on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We have two Premier League giants hosting lower league sides, and they are trading massively odds on – will we see any ‘Magic of the Cup?’ We kick off the day with Liverpool hosting Accrington Stanley – anything bar a comfortable win for Liverpool would be a massive shock here. Arne Slot will likely see this as an excellent opportunity to rest some players given the hectic schedule; and perhaps that might move the market on the team news. Liverpool are trading as short as 1.07 with Accrington Stanley 46.0 and the draw is 19.0 at the time of writing. Visiting Anfield is obviously a big thing for Accrington Stanley – they are 19th in League Two at the moment. This is best classed as their “World Cup Final” as Sir Alex Ferguson used to say when sides faced the old Manchester United. The gulf in class is just huge here though, Arne Slot could rest plenty of his stars here and we should still see a comfortable home win. Obviously with Liverpool so low in the match odds market, the focus here is going to be on the side markets.
Liverpool have been the best side in Europe this season, never mind the Premier League. The obvious place to start here is the goal and handicap markets. Over 2.5 goals is trading very short at 1.26, and the market is expecting Liverpool to do most of the work here. Both Teams Not To Score is 1.52 at the time of writing – Accrington Stanley have an average xG created of 1.31 which is a mid-table figure in League Two, and that’s hardly going to worry Liverpool. I think the biggest danger to the Liverpool clean sheet is them getting a little too relaxed if they are two or three goals ahead. I’m happy to pass on the 1.52 on Both Teams Not To Score – effectively a Liverpool clean sheet, and I prefer Liverpool to score plenty of goals and cover the handicap. Accrington Stanley have been very sloppy at the back this season – they’ve actually conceded the joint-most goals in League Two this season. I like the Asian Handicap -3 goals at 1.78 – it’s stakes void if Liverpool win by exactly three which is a nice position.

Two points win Liverpool -3 goals Asian Handicap to beat Accrington Stanley at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE

MANCHESTER CITY V SALFORD CITY
5.45pm We have another exceptionally short odds on favourite to finish the action on Saturday as Manchester City host Salford City. If you were to believe the betting market; this game is just a case of going through the motions but obviously it’s going to be hyped up given the owners of Salford City are the Class Of 92 from Manchester United. Salford have had massive success of the last number of seasons going through the leagues, their story is remarkable and they’ve been doing well in League Two this season as they sit in third. Obviously they have a bigger budget compared to the sides around them; but that’s football these days. Salford are probably more used to the spotlight compared to other League Two sides, but facing Manchester City away is still a big experience for them. Pep Guardiola will likely opt to rest a few of his stars here, but it would still be a massive shock if we didn’t see a comfortable home win. Manchester City are trading as short as 1.06 with Salford City 42.0 and the draw is 20.0 at the time of writing. That 1.06 is the second shortest price in the FA Cup this weekend – the shortest price title goes to Chelsea at home to Morecambe.
It would be a shock of shocks to see Salford get a result here; it would be headline news given the owners. However, I feel this a case of how many goals can City score rather than will they win. Similar to the Liverpool game earlier in the day, this is about the side markets with the focus on the goal and handicap markets. Salford have an average xG created of 1.34 in League Two which isn’t going to trouble City; however obviously City have had a lot of issues at the back this season, so I wouldn’t be rushing to back Both Teams Not To Score at around 1.5 – effectively a City clean sheet. Guardiola will likely name a total different XI here too given the strength of the City squad, so we could see Salford get on the score sheet, especially if City open the game up if they are two of three goals ahead. The option I like here is Over 3.5 goals at 1.61 which looks like a very nice position in what should be an entertaining game.
