ATLETICO MADRID V OSASUNA

3.15pm It’s a big Sunday in Spain (and Saudi Arabia) with La Liga action along with the Spanish Super Cup Final on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We start the day in La Liga with Atletico Madrid hosting Osasuna – with Real Madrid not in La Liga action because they are in Saudi Arabia for the Super Cup; this is a chance for Atletico to go top. As things stand coming into this weekend, Real Madrid lead by two points but Atletico have a game in hand so a win here will put them one point ahead with the sides having played the same amount of games. After dropping a lot of points early in the season – they only won five of their opening eleven games – they have now won seven games in a row with Barcelona and Real Madrid dropping points along the way. That’s put Atletico in an excellent position, and while their under-lining numbers aren’t that impressive, you have to give them credit for grinding out so many results. It’s classic Diego Simeone really. Osasuna are your classic mid-table La Liga side, and Atletico will be expected to get the job done here with home advantage.

Atletico Madrid are trading as the red-hot favourites at 1.33 with Osasuna 12.0 and the draw is 5.8 at the time of writing. As I said above, Atletico’s under-lining numbers haven’t been fantastic this season – their average xG created is only 1.39 which doesn’t jump off the page. They started poorly however, and their average is increasing each week which is a good sign. Osasuna have been really struggling to create chances; their average xG created is only 1.15 which is in the bottom five attacking figures in La Liga. They are also in the bottom five on defensive figures too, and although Osasuna are sitting in mid-table now it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them slip down the table as the season does now. Atletico are always very strong at home, and I feel that they can keep a clean sheet on the way to winning here. Both Teams Not To Score is trading 1.68 and that’s worth a small investment to start the day in my opinion.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.68 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V BARCELONA

7pm It’s an El Clasico Super Cup Final on Sunday night as Real Madrid clash with Barcelona in Saudi Arabia. I know Saudi Arabia hosting the Italian and Spanish Super Cup’s over the past two weeks has faced criticism but let’s face it – money talks in football these days. It’s a remarkable success for Saudi Arabia though; they got a Milan Derby Final and now they got an El Clasico Final! Both sides were odds on to reach the Final given Atletico Madrid weren’t in the tournament this time, and they both came through Athletic Bilbao and Mallorca with ease. Now we should have a cracker – we have a very open betting heat too. Real Madrid are the favourites at 2.46 with Barcelona 2.74 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. Barcelona have been on a terrible run lately in La Liga, so they need something good to happen – what better than a Super Cup win against your biggest rival? If Atletico Madrid win earlier in the day Barcelona will have gone from nine point ahead to six points behind since November. One win from seven La Liga games has been Hansi Flick’s biggest crisis so far as Barcelona boss.

Real Madrid have dropped points in La Liga too. They were sloppy at the start of the season, and they also got hammered 4-0 by Barcelona when the sides met in October. A lot of people will be looking at that game and thinking we have the wrong favourites here. Real have been leaking goals recently though – I know they cruised through against weak opposition in the Copa del Rey before coming here and kept a clean sheet in the Semi-Final but they conceded three to Rayo Vallecano, two to Sevilla and then needed two exceptionally late goals to beat Valencia last week. We usually see plenty of drama in El Clasico clashes, and I don’t expect this game to be any different. Over 2.5 goals looks a nice option at 1.51 in what should be a very entertaining game. I can see why Barcelona might be a popular bet given the result earlier in the season, but they have been leaking goals recently too – I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here with a confident bet on Overs.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.51 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
