COMO V UDINESE

7.45pm Monday night football from Europe comes from Serie A and La Liga this week. It’s the start of a massive week from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with the Champions League and Europa League back. We’re going to have some very important and dramatic fixtures with some top sides under pressure this week. We might not have a high level of drama on Monday night football, but we do have two interesting markets. We kick off the night in Serie A with Como hosting Udinese. This should be a very interesting game – Como come into the game under pressure in the relegation battle, but they have been playing much better football compared to their results. They have better attacking and defensive figures compared to Udinese, but they find themselves seven points behind Udinese and in the relegation battle at the moment. Thankfully for Como, the bottom two – Monza and Venezia – are getting a little detached so it seems like we only have one more spot to fill in the relegation battle this season. There were six sides within two points of each other coming into this matchday though so I’m sure we’ll see plenty of drama in the relegation race yet!

Como come into the game as the favourites 2.24 with Udinese 3.75 and the draw is 3.4 at the time of writing. Como might be close to the relegation battle, but the market knows they are playing good football. They have the sixth best attacking figure in Serie A this season – they’ve been really struggling to take their chances though. Not only that, they have been exceptionally sloppy at the back, conceding well over their average xG conceded. It would be a huge shame if Como went back down given their performance levels, but football is a results business. Udinese have been quite average this season; their attacking figure is only 1.21 and they are conceding more than that. I was surprised to see Over 2.5 goals trading odds against given we’ve had so many mistakes at the back from both sides – another option would be Both Teams To Score is odds on at 1.92. While I do feel that this is a game for small stakes, Over 2.5 goals looks a good value bet at 2.16.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 2.16 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

VILLARREAL V MALLORCA

8pm We move over to La Liga to finish Monday night football from Europe as Villarreal host Mallorca. I feel we might have some big opinions on the prices here; both sides sit beside each other in the table but we have an odds on favourite. Villarreal are trading 1.86 with Mallorca 5.0 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. It took Villarreal quite a long time to move on after Unai Emery left – at the time it looked like an incredible decision; Aston Villa were close to the relegation zone after Steven Gerrard’s time there and Villarreal were competing for the European spots. Now Aston Villa are in the Champions League, but Villarreal might get a chance to get back there too – they just have to chase down Athletic Bilbao in fourth. Villarreal have the third best attacking figure in La Liga this season behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, but they have struggled at the back again. This is something they’ve really struggled with since Emery left – their average xG conceded this season is 1.34 which is an improvement from 1.69 last season, but they are still sloppy at the back. They’ve been conceding well over their xG this season.

Mallorca have been grinding out a lot of results, and you have to give them massive credit. Their average xG created is only 1.23 which is the fifth worst attacking figure in La Liga. Believe it not considering they sit in sixth place coming into this matchday, they are actually under-performing in front of goal. They’ve scored less than a goal a game on average this season – what has saved them is they have been keeping things as tight as possible at the back. This is an interesting game because you have an odds on favourite that has been leaking goals, against a side that have been very solid at the back but they’ve equally struggled in attack. While I feel the 1.86 is a little short on Villarreal – it’s hard to have faith in Mallorca with that attacking figure. I do feel Mallorca will sit back here and make life as difficult as possible for Villarreal, and Under 2.5 goals is worth a small investment at 1.84 in what should be a very tight and cagey affair.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 1.84 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
