TRIALS WEEK: Daqman builds up this week to Trials day at Cheltenham on Saturday with Constitution Hill expected to be in action on a card that features five Grade 2 events.
MONDAY: Daqman has four bets from three venues on Monday with his nap running at Wolverhampton.
WATCHING BRIEF
⭕ 1.20 Ayr The 10am Betdaq Betting Exchange market was struggling to find a leader between Admiral Stewart (2.46) and Jet To Vegas (2.84) in the opener and whilst it’s an interesting clash it’s also one I’ll watch from the stands.
I’m usually against backing any horse with a ‘P’ as his last run, preferring to see it it’s able to bounce back but in the case of Admiral Stewart he can probably be forgiven for pulling up in a Grade 2 at Sandown last time out.
This looks a much more realistic level for the Jamie Snowdon trained runner who has the consistent Jet To Vegas to beat together with Kelso third Jehol De Thaix in a race that just looks a little trappy for my liking. Watching races is allowed!
THE GOLDEN TICKET
⭕ 2.52 Ayr Whatever the fate of Admiral Stewart in the opener I think the in-form Jamie Snowdon has an excellent chance here with his only other runner on the card, Golden Maverick who sports a visor for the first time.
A winner of back to back races (on the same soft ground as today) at Haydock and Musselburgh last year, he bounced back from a below par effort at Cheltenham when dropped in class to finish fourth at Lingfield last time out.
He lost focus in the race that day and it’s easy to see why the visor has been fitted. He is preferred to Nab Wood who might just find this trip on the sharp side.
ZERO HAS A CHANCE
⭕ 3.15 Warwick A sporting chance is taken with Zero Tolerance and Keppel Queen who were both hovering around double figure odds this morning.
This extended three mile handicap chase looks by far the most competitiive race of the day and at the front end of the market Always Busy looks a little short for a horse that’s now on a losing run of 13.
Zero Tolerance is now an eight-year-old but doesn’t have many miles on the clock. He has finished second in two of his three chase starts and the latest of which at Chepstow in November gives him every chance in pure form terms.
Keppel Queen has a similar profile in that she is also lightly raced and comes into this on the back of a couple of decent efforts over hurdles.
If she improves for the larger obstacles – which on breeding she is entitled to – she could be dangerous off this mark and won’t lack in the stamina department.
NAP ON THE RIGHT ROAD
⭕ 7.30 Wolverhampton Not much variety across the eight races at Dunstall Park tonight with seven of them being handicaps.
Manton Road (2.1 on Betdaq Betting Exchange in morning trading) makes plenty of appeal as the day’s nap with him ticking the box of a winner without a penalty.
The three-year-old was first past the post at Lingfield last week but was deemed to have bumped the runner-up Perfect Ruby and the placings were reversed.
The pair finished a full nine lengths clear of the third and this race doesn’t look any tougher for the Gay Kelleway trained runner who had previously also run well when third at Newcastle on his stable debut.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
