It’s fair to say both sides need a Cup run at the moment!
AC Milan come into the game as the favourites at 2.16 with Roma 3.65 and the draw is 3.6 at the time of writing. Roma’s issues have been well documented – they are basically sitting where they should be in the table. For AC Milan, it’s a different story. They have the third best attacking figure in Serie A this season and they have a very respectable defensive figure too. Their average xG conceded is 1.25 and for Roma it’s just a little higher at 1.3. Respectable figures; not top figures.
We landed a lay on Inter Milan in the Milan Derby at the weekend, and I’m happy to support AC Milan again here. I’m keen to keep stakes small, because they are clearly having an issue getting over the line in games. However, you can’t knock their performance level, they are playing better football than Roma despite them sitting beside each other in the Serie A – I’d have them a little shorter than 2.16 to beat a pretty average Roma side this season.
