ANOTHER SILVER: Daqman came within a neck of a 5/1 winner from his three races on Tuesday when his final selection Jems Bond was pipped in the finale at Newcastle.
WEDNESDAY BETS: He keeps the stakes low again on Wednesday with three bets from Sedgefield, Ludlow and Kempton.
ASKING THE QUESTION
⭕ 2.05 Sedgefield The Questioner was classy enough to win a class 4 handicap hurdle at Ascot in 2022 and also won at the same level over fences at Doncaster last season.
He was in the process of running a big race at Wetherby last time out before a mistake two out exaggerated the margin he was beaten by in third. His trainers Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero are in great form with six winners from their last 28 runners and this looks a really modest contest.
Zwicky is the chief rival on the Betdaq Betting Exchange after his better effort here last time out when he was second to Catch Catchfire. That came over chases though and his previous hurdling form had become disappointing so the jury’s still out for me.
ALL AT SEA
⭕ 2.15 Ludlow Ben Pauling’s main hope of the day will be with the prohibitively priced Vanderpoel following up his Huntingdon success in the 3.15.
He runs Betty’s Tiara in this earlier race but the mare hasn’t really built on the promise she showed last season and was bitterly disappointing at Taunton last December.
Another one with questions to answer is the likely market leader Jasmine Bliss who won back to back bumpers at Wetherby and Newbury, started hurdling off well with a Lingfield second but then flopped at Ffos Las last time out when she was beaten 27 lengths with no obvious excuse.
She was sent off evens that day and it looked a worse race than this one.
With big question marks over these two it might be best left to Sea Presenting to continue the good recent form of trainer Toby Lawes (two winners from his last three runners).
Sea Presenting was a very encouraging third to That’s Nice at Warwick 16 days ago and the Nicky Henderson trained winner made it two wins from three races giving the form a solid look.
NO STRINGS ATTACHED WITH CELLO
⭕ 7.30 Kempton The longest race of the night and by far the best. A class 2 handicap over two miles.
Cello looks the one most guaranteed to see out the trip. The Andrew Balding trained runner won over 1m 4f here last year but has shown recently at Newcastle that he handles the marathon trip and was a particularly good third last time out (beaten just a length) in another class 2 event.
Oisin Murphy is 2-3 since his return and rides Cello for the first time for a trainer that’s also in good form with 5 winners from his last 17 runners.
Wonder Legend showed no signs of stopping when winning over 1m 6f at Southwell last time out but is now up in the weights and in class.
Moon Over Miami was 2-2 on the turf but struggled on handicap/all-weather debut at Southwell when third over 1m 3f.
Off the same handicap mark there are just too many concerns for me that this dramatic increase in trip will make a positive difference.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
