Summer Star let her supporters down when odds on and only seventh of 18 at Limerick last time out.
The ground was good then and much softer tonight but she had winning bumper form on good ground and I am not sure we can put her flop last time down solely to the ground. She was good enough to win a Listed bumper but, so far at least, has not transferred that ability to hurdles.
However, she is worth another chance in this grade as the opposition isn’t strong and the chief market rival Cloudgazer almost certainly needs better ground to show his best form and there’s a huge question mark about his current well-being after he finished a tailed off last of 12 in a flat race at Leopardstown a week ago.
