PREVIEW
Two of the big boys are in action tonight when Uruguay and Chile clash in the Copa America. The Uruguayans are 2.53 favourites on Betdaq – Chile are 3.0 and the draw is 3.25 – but they could only draw their opener against Peru as Chile beat Mexico 2-1.
Liverpool’s Luis Suarez scored the equaliser to earn his country a point, but Uruguay’s highly-acclaimed strikeforce, which also features Diego Forlan and Edinson Cavani couldn’t make Peru pay. The outcome was reflective of Uruguay’s form following last summer’s World Cup, since when they have not been able to recapture the level of performance that took them to fourth place.
Chile edged out an under-strength Mexico outfit after also going behind. That game highlighted the talents of Chile’s Alexis Sanchez, who is being courted by the Europe’s elite, and he is one of a number of weapons at the disposal of La Roja manager Claudio Borghi that can hurt Uruguay.
Although Uruguay are streets ahead when it comes to historical meetings between the sides, with 40 wins to Chile’s 15, they haven’t beaten Chile in almost eight years. The underdogs come into this one unbeaten in nine matches and are well worth a look on Betdaq.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
