SHAMROCK’S POWER NAP: Shamrock struck on Friday with his only bet of the day – his NAP Annie Power romped home at 6/4 in the final race at Wexford.
There’s Group race action at the Curragh this afternoon with the Gain Horse Feeds Irish St Leger Trial at 3.15.
John Oxx has a strong hold on the race with two of the five runners including market leader Hartani who is on for the four-timer and won the Curragh Cup over course and distance in fine style by over five lengths and he is really hard to oppose here with the same soft underfoot conditions.
Oxx also runs Aklan who is improving but jockey bookings and the market point strongly towards Hartani.
I’m against Aidan O’Brien’s Snow Queen in both the win and place markets in the 3.50. She sets a reasonable standard but this race could be full of useful debutants including Scintillula.
