THAT’S THE SPIRIT, DAQMAN! Daqman landed his nap, Crimson Spirit (WON evens), yesterday and had the French Oaks winner and second in his 1-2-3, Ryan Moore leaving Bedtime Story just too much to do to catch Christophe Soumillon on Gezora (WON 11-2).

TOMORROW and all the week: Royal Ascot special.

AGATHON STAYS ON AND ON

⭕ 3.15 Carlisle A proven stayer is required here over the tough undulations of Carlisle 1m 6f circuit especially given the ground is now soft.

It might be best left to Agathon who is the only course and distance winner in the 12 strong field and he arrives in good form for trainer Rebecca Menzies.

His course and distance win in May came on good to firm but he handled soft on debut at Galway and good to soft at Catterick last time out when third over this trip.

I’ll include Fast Fred who won by six and half lengths at Redcar the last time he was tried on soft and comes into this on the back of an excellent second at Thirsk.

KING OF THE CASTLE

⭕ 7.30 Windsor This class 3 six furlong handicap is the race of the night at Windsor and will hopefully see me land a pre-Ascot nap in the shape of Durham Castle.

He’s come in for some early morning support on Betdaq Betting Exchange and can pick up where he left off last season with wins at Southwell and Goodwood.

He looked in need of the run on his comeback run at Haydock in another class 3 and wasn’t disgraced when finishing seventh, having never traveled in the race. He was beaten less than five lengths and we should see a much improved performance tonight.

Stanley Spencer is remarkably consistent with form figures of 6143112-3 but all that form has come on the all-weather where the evidence to date suggests he raises his game.

WINNER AT ALL COSTS

⭕ 9.00 Windsor The final race of the night before the Berkshire action switches around seven miles south!

Let’s just say this won’t be the best race run in Berkshire this week (I’m being kind) but winners pay the same price at Royal Ascot and Windsor.

There’s a good chance here that All Cost can gain reward for his recent consistency, including finishing second at Chepstow last time out. He was no match for easy winner Phaedra who was completing a double but even so the form might well be strong enough in the context of this race.

Seven pound claimer Jack Callan is onboard again and can see off the challenge of Spaceage Love Song who has been off the course since a close up fourth at Kempton on the all-weather in January but his turf form is borderline non existent.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
