FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP: The Ultra previews CHELSEA v LOS ANGELES with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
CHELSEA V LOS ANGELES
8pm The FIFA Club World Cup continues on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with Chelsea starting their tournament on Monday. The London club are fresh off a Europa Conference League win, and they’ll be fully expected to beat Los Angeles given the gulf in class between the sides. As you would expect, Chelsea come into the game as the red-hot favourites – they are trading 1.32 with Los Angeles 10.5 and the draw is 6.3 at the time of writing. As I have said in my opening previews, obviously it’s going to be interesting to see the level of intensity from Chelsea here.
From that point of view, we’re only really going to find out what clubs are truly taking the tournament seriously once we see the opening games. Chelsea should have no problem topping Group D though – along with Los Angles they have Flamengo and Esperance de Tunis. Flamengo probably their biggest challenger. You have to say that on domestic form, Los Angles come into this tournament in good form. They are on an unbeaten run of ten games, but that run still only leaves them sitting in mid-table of the Western Conference in the MLS. And then of course you have to wonder what that level of form in an unbeaten run is actually worth.
We always wonder what level the MLS is compared to the Premier League. We’re going to get an idea here! Obviously the market is expecting a comfortable Chelsea win, and we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. While LA have put a decent run together, they are still conceded plenty of goals. Unbeaten in ten games sounds good, but it did include six draws. The Both Teams To Score market is very even – No just a shade of odds on at 1.94. Chelsea have been playing an open game this season, and at times they have been sloppy at the back – I wouldn’t be rushing to back a clean sheet for them here to be honest.
Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.56 and that looks a nice option – it’s hard not to expect goals looking at how LA defend and then obviously you have the chance that Chelsea concede one too. Another option is Chelsea to cover the 1.5 goal handicap at 1.85. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest, but on balance I marginally prefer the Chelsea handicap option at the bigger odds. LA are very poor at the back in my opinion, and that will be exposed here. Once again, happy to keep stakes small at the start of the tournament.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Chelsea -1.5 goals to beat Los Angeles at 1.85 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
