FLUMINENSE V CHELSEA

8pm It’s a massive week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as we get to the real business end of the FIFA Club World Cup! We kick off the Semi-Finals on Tuesday night as Fluminense take on Chelsea. No doubt everyone will be looking at the bottom half of the draw as PSG meet Real Madrid on Wednesday, but we should have two very entertaining games to enjoy. For these two sides, this is a fantastic chance to get to the Final – the top half of the draw really opened up after the Group stage – Manchester City went favourites but fluffed their lines against Al-Hilal, whom Fluminense got past at the Quarter-Finals. You’d have to say that Chelsea have had a nice run through but it hasn’t been without drama after they failed to top their Group.

This should be a competitive affair, however you’d have to say that Chelsea will be expected to win. They are the bigger club, and it’s not a surprise to see them come into the game as the odds on favourites. Chelsea are trading 1.73 with Fluminense 5.9 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. Obviously we have had a lot of teams in this tournament that come from weaker leagues so it’s hard to look at an overall average. However, Chelsea have been creating more and conceding less than Fluminense.

Fluminense were exceptionally lucky to get past Inter Milan. They won that game 2-0 with 32% possession, and only with an xG of 1.28 while conceding close to 2.0. Basically they took an early lead and held onto it, which is a big credit to them – Italian teams have done the same to many teams in the past after all! Fluminense also finished the Al-Hilal game with a lower possession stat and a lower xG created, so I think it’s fair to say that they are lucky to have got this far in the tournament. Obviously they also benefited from the fact Al-Hilal dumped Manchester City out too!

Chelsea have played two Brazilian sides so far in this tournament. They were shocked by Flamengo at the Group stage, winning 1-0 at HT before seemingly collapsing in the second half. Like most of the European clubs, they blamed the heat at the time. They managed to get past Palmeiras in the Quarter-Finals with a 2-1 win, and although it was an own goal they gave them the lead they finished the game with an xG over 2.0 and conceded less than 1.0. It was a very good performance, and that followed another very good performance against Benfica. They needed extra time there, but they also had control of the game until a 95th minute penalty for the draw.

When I look at everything here, it’s hard to see past Chelsea and I feel the 1.73 is ten ticks too big. We landed a Five Star NAP in the final Quarter-Finals with Real Madrid beating Dortmund, and we can start the Semi-Finals with a Five Star NAP too! The 1.73 on Chelsea offers a lot of value in my opinion, and it looks a cracking bet to beat an average Fluminense side.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Chelsea to beat Fluminense at 1.73 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
