MAGIC? NO, HARD FACTS..
⭕ 3.00 Catterick Can we get one more out of the magic Daqman box of winning naps? The racing is lowish level but high-level trainers remain on the prowl.
William Haggas is a favourite-followers dream! If a Haggas horse starts at the front of the market, it deserves its place there and you are rarely let down.
Stable returns for favourites, deleting big-field handicaps: last two weeks: 111122001111310. A 60% strike rate; 80% placed.
Match that with his winningmost tracks: Catterick 34% and Musselburgh 33%. And Haggas runs Magic Box today in a 75% successful jockey partnership at Catterick with Cieran Fallon.
Magic Box is back to his winning trip of 7f after a good effort dropped to 6f, and his main rival on the morning form assessments has withdrawn from the race. Yet you could get a magic better-than-evens offer on BETDAQ this morning.
KODI THE KIND TO IMPROVE
⭕ 3.50 Salisbury Opening Bat, Political Power and Kodi Fire appear to have the edge in that they have all won races. The others share 25 losing attempts.
Political Power had Opening Bat behind when scoring on the July Course with first-time tongue-tie.
It must be close between them now at the revised weights but Kodi Fire, who benefitted from a step up to 7f at Brighton, should appreciate the mile today, if his pedigree is any guide.
He had the choice of this and remaining at 7f in a handicap at Sandown on Friday. BETDAQ 13.0 was too big this morning.
LAM BACKS UP FOR BURKE
⭕ 5.37 Naas (Marwell Stakes) Karl Burke, one of the kings of two-year-old racing in England, has a 33% strike rate when invading Irish juvenile prizes.
While Karl can boast 30 winners for his youngsters (2yo turf and AW) at home this year, Lam Yai is his first foray into Ireland with them in the current campaign.
The stable raided France to win the Robert Papin with Arabie last year and Ireland to take the Moyglare with Fallen Angel the year before.
It was clear that the home team would be mugged in this very race last year when the Burke hope, Miss Lamai, was backed into odds on and won the Marwell going away.
That surely won’t happen again with Donnacha O’Brien’s Havana Anna the likely SP leader in my book, after scoring six lengths here at Naas the last day.
LAYS LOGIC: Queen Mary fourth, Cardiff By The Sea, has to overcome her stable’s 51-day run of 24 consecutive losers.
There’s been hardly any money for those Fozzy Stack runners; when there was, at Ayr yesterday, it was for a two-year-old which was turned over at 13-2 ON.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 6.00 Lam Yai taken; Havana Anna 4.2 could shorten
DESIGN 25-1 HIDDEN HORSE
⭕ 6.50 Doncaster (Summer Festival Handicap) It Just Takes Time will love the soft-heavy ground and the drop to class 4.
His form on such terrain since last Spring (below class 2) is 1211, with one of those hits here at Doncaster.
The grey has won four times off today’s mark or higher but was 6.8 on BETDAQ this morning.
Law Of Design could be the ’hidden horse’ of the race. Highly regarded as a two-year-old but needing time to fill his big frame. Blinkers first time today could get him involved.
Brian Meehan’s Manton stable has won well over £1m at Doncaster and Billy Loughnane comes in for the ride with a 22% strike-rate for the yard. BETDAQ 26.0 (4.9 place).

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
