13.0 FRANKIE INFORMATION
🇬🇧🇪🇺🌎⭕ 1.35 Ascot (Dash) With Ossie Ardiles and Glenn Hoddle listed in its ownership, Manaccan tries to win this a second time on the opening weekend of Championship football. Hollie Doyle rides on her fourth appearance in this Shergar Cup.
🇬🇧🇪🇺🌎⭕ 2.10 Ascot (Stayers) Hong-Kong ace Karis Teetan, captain of the Rest of the World team, rides Almuhit who has won two small-field races from the front. Can he kid this international field along then use his mount’s known courage in a finish?
🇬🇧🇪🇺🌎⭕ 2.45 Ascot (Challenge) Italy’s champion jockey Dario Di Tocco (on Great Bedwyn) is playing catch-up, his mount in the Stayers having been withdrawn. But veteran Swedish rider, Per-Anders Graberg, on Dream Harder should reverse last year’s one-two when the head verdict went to Insanity, 5lb worse off now.
🇬🇧🇪🇺🌎⭕ 3.20 Ascot (Sprint) Marco Botti is so convinced by Prince Of India’s switch to sprinting that he’s entered him for the Champions Sprint here in October. Hucklesbrook beat him at Leicester, same weights as today but Goodwood punters will remember Mirai Iwata’s rodeo race on Headmaster (last of 16 at 85-40 favourite).
🇬🇧🇪🇺🌎⭕ 3.55 Ascot (Classic) Team French female star Delphine Santiago with the hottest trainer in England, William Haggas, and my Shergar Cup nap surely has maximum Tenability, despite the one stall.
🇬🇧🇪🇺🌎⭕ 4.30 Ascot (Mile) Ebt’s Guard should hold Urban Lion on their Newbury Spring Cup one-two but I just prefer Miss Information, as winner of the Kensington Palace at the royal meeting and as the ride of US star Katie Davis, reportedly with advice from Frankie Dettori on how to ride the course. Betdaq Betting Exchange 13.0.
PROTEST SOLID IMPROVER
⭕ 2.25 Haydock Protest weakened out of a 1m 2f Listed at Newbury in May (fourth) but it produced Qilin Queen (winner) and Sand Gazelle (third).
Qilin Queen went on to take a Group 2 at Longchamp last month and Sand Gazelle won a Listed at York.
Then, only 11 days ago, Protest scored at Glorious Goodwood over a mile so her form summary now reads ‘solid improver.’
Meanwhile, Sand Gazelle chooses between Group 2 and Group 3 stepping-stones at the Curragh in a few weeks’ time on the way to the British Champions Fillies And Mares in October.
MARQUAND UNDER ORDERS
⭕ 3.00 Haydock With William Buick riding (Nations Pride) at Saratoga today, Tom Marquand gets the chance to ride Military Order for Charlie Appleby.
Buick was the jockey when stablemate First Conquest won at Meydan in January but switched to Nations Pride and beat the odds-on First Conquest in a return match on the same course in March.
A big horse, Nations Pride was thought likely to improve this summer, but didn’t get a clear run in the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot and finished a couple of lengths behind the winner, Haatem (Sons And Lovers, fifth, has won for us this week).
MURPHY’S SMOOTH VELVET
⭕ 3.07 Newmarket Despite a third mile success in May, dropping back to 7f produced a class-2 victory for Royal Velvet here on the July Course last month, raising her mark 10lb in four runs.
In William Buick’s absence, Oisin Murphy is back on board for the first time since they were beaten favourite at Yarmouth before her recent run began.
Jumby has run 16 times and dropped 11lb in the ratings since scoring at Haydock more than two years back but still gives weight to last year’s winner, Fifty Nifty, who was Murphy’s mount that day.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
