7-2 WINNER IS SUNDAY BEST: After two winners (22-1 and 4-1) on Saturday, Daqman’s three races yesterday produced Lunanova (WON 7-2) plus two thirds at 5.6-1 and 5-1
TODAY: Daqman fancies a Wathnan Racing two-year-old ahead of their tilt at the Haydock Sprint Cup on Saturday with Lazzat. His nap would be odds on had she run soon after her debut race full of winners.
MELODY CAUGHT THE EYE
⭕ 2.30 Carlisle LAYS LOGIC: An unusual run of four winning favourites in a row – three of them odds on – for this class-3 two-year-olds’ novice.
William Haggas trained one of the odds-on winners and is likely to field a hot-pot again in Hardy’s Hero, drawn one, but he is giving weight all round and there is another set of stats here in the seven seasons of this race.
Stalls 6 to 11 have won six of the seven and results for the one stall are 5L5637L (L=last), with two of them beaten favourites.
Also low drawn is Cosmic Man for Kevin Ryan, whose 16-1 March Ahead turned over an odds-on Haggas juvenile at Carlisle 12 days ago.
In the higher draw is Karl Burke’s Bushwacker (8), with the Venetian Sun Morny-winning stable on 47 juvenile winners this year.
But I shall also have a pound on Lunar Melody, a 55,000gn yearling bought by Wathnan Racing for €500,000.
The Havana Grey filly must have caught the eye at her breeze-up. Her dam was a 6f winner at two; and she is the second foal, her sole sibling a 5f 2yo winner.
Whatever the result it’s been well worth unpacking this race before following the market.
ANGEL’S RACE OF WINNERS
⭕ 5.00 Windsor Martin Dunne has trained three winners in his last four racing days and Neyva’s Angel has one of the jockeys of the moment, David Egan, in the saddle, getting 7lb from Lodge, the only winner in the race.
Neyva’s Angel was third in a very hot novice at Yarmouth in the Spring, with winner second and fourth all scoring since, while she has been given time to develop as her form has been boosted.
31.0 BIG PRICE FOR BILLY
⭕ 7.30 Windsor There are punters who bet that, given two strong chances on a day of ordinary racing, a top trainer is likely to win with one of them.
They play the pair to produce a profit whichever one wins, with bets staked accordingly.
The William Haggas duo today plays five hours apart, with Hardys Hero (2.30 Carlisle) the first leg.
A second hot Haggas favourite is Silver Chamber in this middle-distance handicap at Windsor, but again it’s a big field. The stable boasts 10 winners from its last eight racing days, with a favourites record of 0111021112210, though in that time, Tom Marquand is only 2-20.
Silver Chamber took a while to win a race but the form was boosted when the runner-up scored next time.
Ottoman has done well in headgear for an apprentice; Hollie Doyle now takes over at 12.5 on BETDAQ this morning.
Huge at 31.0, Billy Loughnane is picked to partner Witch Hazel, first time in a handicap after a long break with the Jim Boyle stable doing well this season.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
