WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: The Ultra previews the World Cup Qualifiers between ARMENIA v REPUBLIC OF IRELAND and SERBIA v ENGLAND on Tuesday with recommended BETDAQ bets.
ARMENIA V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
5pm The International Break comes to a close on Tuesday night, and we actually have the best fixtures of the World Cup Qualifiers on Betdaq Betting Exchange in my opinion! England have their toughest fixture in the Group stage away to Serbia – they’re still on odds on mind, but we start the evening with Republic of Ireland away to Armenia in another very interesting market. Ireland got their World Cup Qualifying campaign underway on Saturday night with a dramatic 2-2 draw against Hungary in Dublin. Their qualifying campaign was nearly over before it started given they were 2-0 down so early, but a red card for Hungary changed the game and Ireland finally got the equaliser in injury time. You’d have to expect Portugal to top this Group so that second spot is going to be between Hungary and Ireland – from that point of view, a draw at home probably wasn’t the best result – but Ireland would have taken your arm off for that when 2-0 down! I don’t think it’s being too dramatic to call this a must win game for Ireland – if they want to take that second spot, they simply must beat Armenia.
Ireland come into the game as the odds on favourites, which is very rare for them. The away win is trading 1.88 with Armenia 4.9 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. There really hasn’t been many positives with Ireland recently; but you have to look at the quality of the opposition here. Armenia played the last Nations League at a C level – they finished second in a Group with North Macedonia, Faroe Islands and Latvia so a very weak Group. That got them into the playoffs for promotion, but they were absolutely hammered 9-1 by Georgia over the two legs. They did hold Wales to a 1-1 draw with home advantage in Euro 2024 qualifying however, which is a result to note. However, despite the lack of quality in the Irish squad at the moment, in my opinion the 1.88 is too big to ignore here. Armenia shipped five goals against Portugal at the weekend, and they will give Ireland plenty of chances here. I’m happy with a small position at 1.88.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Republic of Ireland to beat Armenia at 1.88 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SERBIA V ENGLAND
7.45pm We move over to Group K to finish the International Break with a fascinating clash as Serbia host England. This is easily England’s toughest task to date under Thomas Tuchel, and it will be fascinating to see how they perform. They have recorded four wins from four in this Group and they look certain to top it, but we all knew they would breeze through this Group given the quality of the opposition. They have been lacklustre in front of goal though – 2-0 against Albania, 3-0 against Latvia, only 1-0 away to Andorra and then 2-0 at home to Andorra at the weekend aren’t exactly what you want to see. It’s hard to criticise a team for “not winning easily enough” but England went off at 1.01 to win on Saturday against Andorra. Only scoring twice is disappointing, and miles off the handicap. As I said in my preview of that game, England haven’t covered a handicap yet which was worrying given the limited opposition. Perhaps a tougher task will bring the best out of them here. Serbia haven’t exactly fired in this Group yet either though; they actually dropped points with a 0-0 draw away to Albania.
Serbia finished in the relegation playoff spot in the last Nations League in an A Group between Spain and Denmark, but they survived the playoff to keep their A status. The sides met at Euro 2024 with England winning 1-0 – that was the first ever meeting between the sides. It was actually England’s first game of the tournament – basically the start of everyone calling them boring for the whole tournament under Southgate! England come into the this game as the odds on favourites at 1.86 with Serbia 5.1 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. I have to say, the 1.86 feels a little short on England here – for me they are just struggling to create clear cut chances. They haven’t exactly turned into the exciting attacking XI that everyone said they would when Southgate left – the narrative was Southgate was holding them back! I feel this one will be closer than the odds suggest, and from a value point of view I’m happy with an England lay.
The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) England to beat Serbia at 1.86 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
