⭕ 1.15 Newmarket (Cornwallis Stakes) The usual V-formation down the centre of the track has produced winners from the far-rail side in 1, 2 and 3 (twice) and the near-side high numbers 11 (twice), 12 (twice) and 14. None in between.
LAYS LOGIC: It’s a slightly tighter pack today but the high numbers are the weaker bunch and Brussels looks vulnerable with form figures of 4242.
I prefer Revival Power who made all in the Flying Childers, officially improving his rating since the end of July by 22lb (81>87>98>103). BETDAQ 4.7 was too big this morning.
⭕ 1.50 Newmarket (Oh So Sharp Stakes) A similar effect of the draw as in the 1.15: five wins for stalls 1, 2, 3; five wins for 7, 9, 10, 11, 12.
Roger Varian has won this twice recently (2017-18) from gates 7 and 9 and Classic Cuvee could dominate the far flank from stall 3. BETDAQ 5.4

⭕ 1.30 York (Autumn Mile) Here again two groups share stalls bias: 1, 4, 4, 5, 4 and 13, 14, 15, 19. Favourites have a poor time of it (1-10).
Silver Sword (16) – not get clear run in the Cambridgeshire – has won three mile handicaps on firmish ground, one of them here at York 3lb higher. Yet 12.0 BETDAQ offers this morning.
Ice Max (17) had handicap form of 1011 before a career in the Pattern was decent but illuminated only by victory in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood, BETDAQ 11.0.
FRANKEL LEGACY TOP FILLY
⭕ 2.57 Newmarket (Fillies Mile) Aidan O’Brien’s six hit in this 2yo test goes back to 1998, his best winners Minding and Rhododendron (2015-16) but recently, Ylang Ylang (2023), was a subsequent flop.
Precise won the Moyglare, winning her an invitation to the Breeders Cup and she deserves to be favourite at 2.88
The last Irish winner of the Filly And Mare in America from this race was Iridessa (2019) for Joseph O’Brien, who runs Queen Of Hawaii this afternoon.
But surely the threat to Precise must come from the superbly bred Legacy Link (Dubawi out of a sister to Frankel).
The Gosdens won this in 2021-22, including with Inspiral who also went on to Breeders Cup glory. Betdaq Betting Exchange 8.3
SKELTON DAY? I SHOULD COCO
⭕ 3.12 Chepstow 10-year-olds win these veterans chases 80% of the time and Courtland is back to his last winning mark and returns to his best trip.
You could say something similar about Annsam but Evan Williams last five runners have been beaten a total of 226 lengths. Neil Mulholland (Lord Accord) is also out of form.
That leaves Le Milos, one of no fewer than 11 runners today for trainer Harry Skelton. BETDAQ 5.6
At his current strike-rate, three of them would win! But, since they are all at Chepstow, he is competing against himself at times.
Harry Skelton rides eight of them, including Le Milos and Coco Mademoiselle (4.17).
