WEST HAM V SUNDERLAND

12.30pm The hectic football schedule continues on Betdaq Betting Exchange as we go into another Premier League weekend! We have a busy Saturday with five fixtures, and we start the day with one of the most open betting heats of the weekend as West Ham host Sunderland. At the start of the season, most Premier League fans might have called this a massive relegation six pointer, but Sunderland fans have been living the dream this season. They come into this weekend inside the top half of the table, and while they might be massively over-performing, their fans won’t care about the under-lining numbers. While Sunderland fans are living the dream, West Ham fans are having a nightmare – they recorded a much needed win last weekend away to Spurs, but after losing at home to Nottingham Forest early in the month they look nailed on for relegation. That win over Spurs put them within five points of Nottingham Forest coming into this weekend – another win here would certainly help but things are looking quite bleak at the moment. This is a massive game for the Hammers really when you look at the situation; while Sunderland have been getting the results, their performance levels have been quite poor.

Sunderland have the third worst attacking figure with an average xG created of 1.16 – that’s actually behind West Ham, but have also been woeful in front of goal with a figure of 1.2. Sunderland are also in the bottom three on defensive figures too – their average xG conceded is very high 1.67 but this is where they have been getting away with things massively. Their actual goals conceded average is only 1.05 – there’s a lot of points gained there. West Ham have been worse at the back though as their average xG conceded is 1.79! It’s faith to have much confidence in either side here, and it’s no surprise that we have an open betting heat. West Ham are the favourites at 2.64 with Sunderland 3.0 and the draw is 3.35 at the time of writing. I feel this is definitely a game for small stakes with both sides playing poor football – in the match odds market, you’d lean towards the draw at 3.35 but I do feel we’ll see goals here. I know Sunderland have been getting away with things at the back so far this season, but West Ham have been all over the place at times. Over 2.5 goals is trading 2.26 and that looks a shade of value.

The Striker Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 2.26 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BOURNEMOUTH V LIVERPOOL

5.30pm We finish Saturday in the Premier League with Bournemouth hosting Liverpool. This should be a very entertaining game between two attacking sides. Liverpool had a very impressive 3-0 win away to Marseille midweek in the Champions League, and hopefully they can take that confidence into the Premier League because they’ve been really struggling to get over the line in games. That 1-1 draw at home to Burnley last weekend was very disappointing – short odds backers got their fingers burnt there. Liverpool have only managed five wins in 17 Premier League games which is a pretty shocking stat given the quality they have. Arne Slot has been under a little pressure too; especially with some of the tactical things he has been saying in press conferences – he keeps saying his game plan went on the window because the opposition changed from the week before – a bizarre thing to say. Bournemouth have been playing some good football this season but they have been struggling to get results too – they have the sixth best attacking figure but they come into the weekend sitting down in 15th. The big issue for Bournemouth has been at the back – they are conceding close to two goals a game on average and as the saying goes, you don’t win many games conceding two goals!

I said this would be a very entertaining game above, and I would be surprised if we didn’t see goals and drama here. Both sides have been sloppy at the back this season – Liverpool’s issues have been at the back as well given they currently have the second best attacking figure in the Premier League. I feel this is a market where we’ll have some big opinion either side of the book on the Liverpool price – they come into the game as the marginal odds on favourites at 1.96 with Bournemouth 4.0 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. I feel the 1.96 is a little short on Liverpool given their record this season, but with Bournemouth conceding so many goals I wouldn’t want to lay Liverpool either. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here because this game screams goals. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.64 and that looks cracking value in what should be an open game. I feel we’re getting enough value here to finish the day with a Five Star NAP!

The Striker Says:
Five points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.64 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
