PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: The Striker previews EVERTON v LEEDS with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
EVERTON V LEEDS
8pm We have Monday Night Football to enjoy from the Premier League this week on Betdaq Betting Exchange! It’s the start of another hectic week with the Champions League and Europa League Group stages finishing – the football keeps coming! Everton host Leeds for Monday Night Football, and we have a very competitive betting heat. Everton come into the game as the favourites at 2.6 with Leeds 3.15 and the draw is 3.25 at the time of writing.
With West Ham beating Sunderland on Saturday, Leeds could get dragged back into a relegation battle. They come into this game with a nice five point cushion, but West Ham have won back-to-back games now so you’d have to say confidence must be high. It’s only been Spurs and Sunderland though, so Leeds won’t be panicking yet. While we have an open betting heat, Everton have been very solid with home advantage since David Moyes returned – even allowing for the stadium move.
There’s been a huge difference in the performance levels for Everton at home and away – it’s almost like they have been two different sides this season. At home, they are creating more than they are conceding. Their average xG created is 1.46 and their average xG conceded is 1.31. Away from home, their figures are woeful – an average xG created of just 1.05 and an average xG conceded of 1.75. They have been getting away with things at the back away from home though; as you would expect under Moyes they have been trying to keep games as tight as possible and that has worked out for them. That being said, overall Leeds have been creating more than Everton this season.
While I said above, Leeds might get dragged back into the relegation mix – their performance levels would suggest not. An average xG created of 1.42 is a mid-table figure in the Premier League. They just have to stop being so sloppy at the back. It’ll be interesting to see the Leeds tactics here – if they opt to attack Everton and make it an open game, you can certainly make the argument that they will out-gun them but Everton rarely let games get too open. It’s understandable to see Under 2.5 goals as the favourite at 1.76 with that in mind, but I feel that’s a little too short here. Everton do create a decent amount at home, and I just don’t see Leeds sitting back here. I feel the value is with the Overs option, and the 2.28 is worth a small bet to start the week.
The Striker Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 2.28 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
