DUNSTALL PARK NAP: Quieter start to the week post Cheltenham. Daqman has Monday bets from all three cards Plumpton, Ffos Las and an evening nap from Wolverhampton.

JUKEBOX’S NEXT SPIN: The Jukebox Man is now being aimed at the Punchestown Gold Cup after his below par performance last week at Cheltenham when only eighth in the Gold Cup. The Harry Redknapp owned chaser bids to become the first British winner of the Punchestown Gold Cup since Clan Des Obeaux in 2021.

TICK TOCK

⭕ 3.45 Plumpton Just the four mares line up for this 2m 2f handicap hurdle but bizarrely it’s also one of the more competitive races on the card on the Betdaq Betting Exchange !

The Racing Post couldn’t split Dramatic Encore and A Tickatickatiming making them 2/1 joint favourites overnight but the morning market has come down in favour of the former who is stepping back in trip which doesn’t really work for me given her only win to date has come over two and a half miles.

The quicker ground (forecast good to soft) may help A Tickatickatiming and the drop back in trip should help her.

She was bogged down by the soft ground here last time and may be better judged on her overall course form of 211243424 with the two wins coming on good and good to soft.

The other two can’t be ruled out completely. La Marquise seemingly improved after wind surgery to take third at Wetherby last time out whilst Al Sayah takes a big drop back in distance but is another who will be suited by the better ground. She won back to back races at Newton Abbot last season – though is now 11lb higher in the handicap.

NOT TRICKY FOR TRIX

⭕ 4.30 Ffos Las El Gavilan is as tough as they come and bids for a course four-timer after three heavy ground wins.

It’s slightly better ground today (soft) but more concerning is his rise up the weights. A further 5lb hike for what was just a neck win last time out might finally halt his progress.

Up To Trix shaped well when second on handicap debut at Warwick and might just come into this a fresher horse.

TAP ON DANCER

⭕ 8.30 Wolverhampton It is with some trepidation that I want to take on Crimson Rambler who landed the Daqman nap last Monday but the weights and measures have tipped firmly back in favour of Karakula Dancer.

The key form line is from 4th March at Southwell where Karakula Dancer finished a length and a quarter second to Crimson Rambler but is now a massive 10lb better off in the handicap which should be more than enough to see that form reversed.

Sorted has the considerable advantage of Billy Loughlane who seems to be knocking in hat-tricks for fun at these midweek all-weather meetings but even though Sorted showed more on handicap debut here when fourth needs to improve further to trouble the top two here.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
