DORTMUND V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT

7.30pm Friday Night Football from Europe on Betdaq Betting Exchange this week comes from the Bundesliga as Borussia Dortmund host Eintracht Frankfurt! We only have two matchdays left in the Bundesliga, so time is ticking at both ends of the table. Obviously the title is already decided with Bayern Munich being head-and-shoulders above everyone else, we still have a very tight race to avoid the relegation spots, and a very tight battle for the last European spots. Dortmund have already confirmed their Champions League spot for next season, for Eintracht Frankfurt, however, this is an enormous game. They arrive sitting in eighth on 43 points, just one point behind seventh placed Freiburg, with a Europa Conference League spot still very much in their sights.

A far cry from getting Champions League football last season, but at least it’s something to aim for as we come to the end of the season. This should be a good game; obviously Frankfurt have to make all the running and I can’t see Dortmund sitting back so we should have an entertaining end-to-end game. Dortmund’s average xG created of 1.56 is the sixth best attacking figure in the Bundesliga, and their average xG conceded of 1.23 is the second best defensive figure – only Bayern have conceded less chances than Dortmund this season which is impressive. You could say that and this has been their most impressive campaign in a number of years, but they are still miles behind Bayern – 16 points coming into the weekend.

Frankfurt’s underlying numbers are a little less impressive. Their average xG created of 1.41 is the tenth best attacking figure in the Bundesliga – a slightly disappointing figure for a club of their size and ambition. Their average xG conceded of 1.43 is mid-table and a definite concern, particularly going away from home. Their games have been exceptionally open this season – in an entertaining league, they have been one of the most entertaining sides to watch but that doesn’t always translate into points. Goal backers have certainly done well in Frankfurt games this season!

With home advantage, it’s no surprise that Dortmund come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.56 with Eintracht Frankfurt 5.8 and the draw is 5.0 at the time of writing. Dortmund can afford to take their foot off the gas a little towards the end of the season, and to be honest it was a surprise to see them lose 1-0 to Gladbach last weekend. They finished the game with an xG of only 0.63 too so it was a poor performance. I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 1.56 on Dortmund here – if anything it looks a good value lay. It’s hard to make the argument that they should be shorter, and I feel the game will be closer than those odds suggest. Another option has to be goals – Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.4 and Both Teams To Score is 1.56. I have to say, the Both Teams To Score option looks very good value compared to the Dortmund win, and I’m happy to start the weekend with a confident bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.56 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
