DAQMAN FIVE BETS UP IN ONE DAY: Daqman landed five winning bets out of seven in the four races he picked for punts at Chester yesterday. After a six-hit so far at the three-day meeting, he has a Chester Cup outsider for the final day today.

BILLY ON BURHAN IS BEST

⭕ 1.30 Chester Seven of the last eight winners of this race came from the low six stalls. Thursday results by stall: 3, 7, 4, 4, 5, 2, 4. Wednesday: 1, 2, 2, 5, 8, 7, 11

Starting at the top of the handicap, Great David won on his reappearance last year and is well drawn in stall 6, but his weight is surely a shocking imposition.

He was raised more than a stone for his proximity (third) to the winner of the Dee Stakes, a Listed race. He then failed to reach the frame in two Group-3 and another Listed. But the handicapper refused to relent.

Today is his first handicap since he won one at Nottingham at class-4 level nearly two stone lower than today.

BETDAQ 5.9 offer El Burhan (Billy Loughnane) is 4-8 on turf and won a class 2 here at this Chester meeting last year.

Auld Toon Loon (17.5), a CD winner on soft, was runner-up in this very race last year but it’s anybody’s guess what the ground is like – how much they have watered – after the scare yesterday, when one or two horses seemed to slip in the bend and the racing was delayed more than an hour.

Oisin Murphy is in a test of jockeyship today, favourite here on hard-puller Respond, drawn 2, and in the Chester Cup out wide, scraping the wall on Berkshire Sundance for the same stable.

I’M STAYING AT BAY..

⭕ 2.35 Chester (Huxley Stakes) Lambourn lost his way after a hat-trick launched in the Chester Vase and it is strange to see a dual Derby winner racing off 119, dropping down in distance on this tight track and in first-time cheekpieces.

But equally strange to see a 117-rated, Bay City Roller, beaten in five consecutive Group-2 events but giving Lambourn weight as a Group-1 winner in Germany in November. Pass.

25.0 SUNDANCE FOR OISIN

⭕ 3.05 Chester (Chester Cup) Three against three as trainers Joseph O’Brien and Andrew Balding dominate this Chester Cup.

It’s a race of champion riders as Joseph proves himself a true son of Aidan by running a trio at the front of the market! Presumably, a case of Puturhandstogether and pray you pick the right one..

Billy Loughnane rides J P McManus’s versatile winner of the Fred Winter at Cheltenham 2025 and the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh in September.

Ryan Moore has a pantomime role on Galileo Dame and Dylan Browne McMonagle gets a Piece Of Heaven, runner-up in that Cesarewitch in 2024.

Balding’s two-miler Spirit Mixer has twice failed to last the Chester Cup trip and the stable number-one seems to be Peaky Blinder, well drawn but taking a huge leap in class.

Berkshire Sundance tests Oisin Murphy from a wide draw in 15 but the trip will suit and he was overpriced at 25.0 on Betdaq Betting Exchange this morning.

Stalls 14 and 16 have won the race in the last six seasons, one by making all, one by waiting for the collapse of pace up front.

The seven seconds for Blindedbythelights isn’t dazzling. Moon Over Miami hangs right, which trainer Ralph Beckett is quoted as saying ‘rules him out of the Chester Cup.’ Yet here he is.

Money with the bookies early doors was for Zanndabad, another Irish raider, unlucky third in this race in 2024.

It’s off-putting that 10 of Tony Martin’s last 11 runners have started and failed to frame at huge odds (14-1 to 80-1) but that’s when you worry most!

CASH IN WITH 11.0 ADO

⭕ 3.40 Chester Long-time absentees, morning-favourite Jonny Concrete and Paws For Thought ,have both won fresh before.

‘Paws’ has won six times at Chester but is the 25.0 outsider, with Donald McCain without a winner on the Flat since September.

I fancy the Ado McGuinness Irish raider, versatile Clonmacash, who has won over 5f at the Curragh, 6f and 7f at Dundalk, and has the benefit of the one stall here. Huge at 11.0 on BETDAQ.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
