WORLD CUP GROUP B: The Ultra previews QATAR v SWITZERLAND with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
🏆 World Cup 2026 🏆
🇶🇦 Qatar v Switzerland 🇨🇭
8pm Switzerland get their World Cup up and running on WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange! in Group B against Qatar at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Saturday evening. As I made clear in my Group B preview, this is the side I expect to win the Group at a canter, and they could hardly have asked for a kinder opener. Qatar are making their first appearance at a World Cup as a non-host after their Group stage exit on home soil in 2022, and on paper this is an “easy” win for Switzerland. It’s no surprise they come into the game as the red-hot favourites – they are the shortest price in the World Cup so far. Switzerland are trading 1.25 with Qatar 15.5 and the draw is 7.2 at the time of writing.

Switzerland arrive as the most technically complete side in Group B by a distance. They went unbeaten through their UEFA qualifying Group, conceding just two goals in six matches, and this will be their sixth consecutive World Cup, having reached the knockout stages in each of the last three. Obviously this is their easiest game on paper, but in my opinion this Group is very weak – I would be surprised if Canada could take top spot on them. Qatar, by contrast, could hardly have arrived in worse shape. Their preparation has been a mess – planned March friendlies against Serbia and Argentina were cancelled due to regional issues, and their last competitive outing was a disastrous Arab Cup campaign on home soil, where they went out in the group stage losing to Palestine and Tunisia. Remarkably, they haven’t played a competitive match since December 2025, and rocking up to a World Cup that rusty against a side of Switzerland’s calibre is a serious worry.
I can’t see past a Switzerland win here – I just don’t see Qatar having the quality to trouble them – but obviously at 1.25, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. There’s no prizes for tipping 1.25 shots; I’d happily include them in an Acca this weekend though. If anything, Switzerland should be looking at this game from a goal difference point of view, perhaps to give them a little cushion but I would be surprised if they didn’t win all three games to be honest. They’ll be desperate to start with a statement and lay down a marker for the Group; I’m happy to look at the handicap markets here.
WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange!
Switzerland are trading 1.73 -1.5 goals which looks good value in my opinion. Switzerland have the quality to pick apart an undercooked, low-confidence Qatar side, and once the first goal goes in I’d expect them to push on. Qatar’s lack of competitive sharpness should tell as the game wears on, and I can see the Swiss adding a second and a third in the closing stages too. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.74, but the market is expecting Switzerland to do most of the work there because Both Teams Not To Score is shorter at 1.63. I feel the handicap option offers the most value here compared to everything else. I’m happy with a confident three point bet.
