FRENCH OAKS FORM GUIDE: With winners every day for four days, Daqman warned Saturday punters that Extremely Zain (WON 2-1) was a ‘hidden Group horse’ in a handicap. He won easily for William Haggas, who has another improver in today’s French Oaks. But can she threaten the Ballydoyle favourite?

ASCOT HERE WE COME: Royal Ascot starts on Tuesday and BETDAQ is the place to be for bargains. Look out tomorrow.

A DIAMOND IN THE DIANE

⭕ 3.05 Chantilly (Prix de Diane) The Sandringham, Saint-Alary and Pouliches have produced three consecutive French Oaks winners.

But only the Pouliches of those trials (the French 1,000 Guineas) is represented today, and the successful trainer was Aidan O’Brien, who has won six Classics this season already.

Diamond Necklace (Aidan O’Brien, Ryan Moore) also looks hard to beat on form, with Moments Of Joy (Wayne Lordan) her likely pacemaker today.

Though Marcel Boussac and Pouliches winner on very soft going, she had won twice in Ireland on goodish.

Christophe Soumillon, who rode her at Longchamp, likened her to Zarkava, who went seven races unbeaten, including Pouliches, Diane, Vermeille and Arc.

Lilt (William Haggas, Tom Marquand), daughter of a French Derby winner, is 2-2 despite being so green connections have thought more in terms of next season not this. But, if she finds her rhythm, she could be anything.

Evolutionist (Karl Burke, Shane Foley), a very good filly but, while Lilt will need all of the 1m 2f, the trip holds doubts for this 1,000 Guineas runner-up.

Felicitas (Ed Walker, Kieran Shoemark) Musidora runner-up to subsequent Epsom Oaks second, Legacy Link. Another improver who may just fall short at the trip in a fast-run race.

Green Spirit (Christopher Head, Maxime Guyon) was badly drawn in the Pouliches but it was her second defeat by Diamond Necklace and she was also behind Evolutionist in the Prix de la Grotte trial.

Inis Mor (David Menuisier, Oisin Murphy) down the field in the 1,000 Guineas but won the Goodwood Oaks trial and bred for stamina on the dam’s side.

ALSO run: Habibi (Jean-Claude Rouget, Cristian Demuro), Evita (Carlos Lerner, Christophe Soumillon), Pink Panthera (Patrice Cottier, Tony Piccone), Esna (Brian Meehan, James Doyle).

COMMANDING BETS

⭕ 4.40 Doncaster A really trappy seven furlong handicap at first glance but Berry Clever and Commander Of Life might just have a few pounds in hand on this field.

Berry Clever wasn’t beaten far when fourth at Yarmouth last time out and has been so consistent this season on both turf and the all-weather.

Silvestre De Sousa was aboard for his win over this trip two starts ago.

Commander Of Life was a good fifth at York last time out and this looks much easier for the previous course and distance winner.

THE HARE IS RUNNING …..

⭕ 4.57 Salisbury The Hare Rail has been costly to follow thus far but in pure form terms his Windsor second last time out stacks up very well in this company.

He was no match for the winner Zarathos but showed good pace and stayed on to good effect. Off the same mark of 68 he should go close again.

It would seem prudent to also include Betdaq Betting Exchange market leader Kamaway who is much less exposed than The Hare Rail. She has only had two starts on the flat – winning well at Yarmouth and returning to the course to finish second last month. She’s now up 2lb and probably needs to improve again but that’s quite possible.

Rating is something of a resident at Bath – finishing 3231 there in all four starts this season. They have all come at class 6 level and this class 5 may prove harder – especially given it’s quite a decent class 5. She’s also up 2lb in the handicap.

FLAME IS LIT UP

⭕ 5.32 Salisbury Arcturus Flame hasn’t managed to add to his Nottingham win last season but has generally been plying his trade at a higher level and should find life easier here.

He drops back to 1m 4f having finished third to favourite Gallivanted at Goodwood over two furlongs longer last time out and gets dropped a pound for that effort.

The eight-year-old Johnny Boom is running back into form and has definite place chances here. His last three wins have all come over this trip.
