🏆 World Cup 2026 🏆

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England v Ghana 🇬🇭

9pm Thomas Tuchel and his England side are back on Tuesday night as they take on Ghana at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange! . England couldn’t have started their World Cup any better with a 4-2 win over Croatia, and the manner of that victory has supporters daring to believe Thomas Tuchel has found something Gareth Southgate never quite managed. It feels like, for once, England fans are actually excited to watch the side play. On paper, Croatia was their most difficult fixture in Group L and now there should be no reason why England don’t go on to top it.

Standing in their way of three points here is Ghana, who edged Panama late on in their own opener, arrive as another side full of confidence and athleticism, but there’s a massive gulf in class here. It’s no surprise that England come into the game as the red-hot favourites; they are trading as short as 1.24 with Ghana 16.5 and the draw is 7.0 at the time of writing.

England’s win over Croatia was chaotic, captivating, and exactly the kind of front foot football Tuchel has been promising since he took over. Harry Kane’s (pictured below) first half brace, including a retaken penalty and a header from Declan Rice’s corner, took him level with Gary Lineker’s England World Cup scoring record, but it was the manner of the second-half response that really stood out. It was end to end and packed with incident, a world away from the Southgate years when England’s attack often relied on individual moments rather than a coherent, relentless game plan. Tuchel will have hated the defensive openness, but on the evidence of the second half alone, this England side looks built to entertain as well as win.

Ghana will not meet them head-on like Croatia in my opinion. I feel they will put XI men behind the ball and set their stall out for a draw here. After beating Panama, who could blame them too. A draw would put them through into one of the best third-placed spots. While Ghana scored right at the death, the performance that preceded it was far from convincing; Ghana failed to register a single shot in the first half. Carlos Queiroz’s side were also missing Thomas Partey, denied a Canadian visa over pending charges in the UK, though he becomes available again for this game and the Panama game. England should have much too much firepower though; especially with Tuchel having seemingly found the perfect system/position for Jude Bellingham.

Deployed in the number 10 role ahead of Morgan Rogers, he was at the heart of almost everything good about the second half performance, driving at the Croatia defence time and again. It’s a role that suits his energy and unpredictability far better than a deeper midfield berth, and if Tuchel sticks with it, this looks like it could finally be the World Cup where Bellingham’s influence on a major tournament matches his reputation. With Harry Kane starting the tournament in superb form too, England are flying. Although I expect Ghana to sit back here, once England take the lead, they will be able to expose the defensive questions that performance against Panama also raised. I feel England will cover the handicap on the way to winning here, and I’m happy to take the 1.7 -1.5 goals with a confident bet.
