NOW 4 OUT OF 5 NAPS FOR SHAMROCK BUT NO PLAY TODAY: Shamrock made it four out of five winning naps with SIZING RIO WON 4/5 on Sunday but unfortunately this afternoon’s meeting at Limerick has been cancelled following an inspection.

Limerick unfortunately has been called off so our progress on the naps front will be put back to Wednesday at the earliest.

Limerick officials were due to check conditions at 8am but following overnight rain, they have made an early call.

Horse Racing Ireland tweeted: “Limerick cancelled today, chase track found to be unfit for racing following 10mm rain overnight.”

SIZING EURO landed the nap on Sunday in the ‘For Auction’ Novice Hurdle (Grade 3)

He had to work hard but is lacking in experience and this will have done him the world of good. He confirmed the form with Cops And Robbers and remains a decent prospect.

A good jump at the last was to seal victory for the favourite as he picked up willingly to the line to score by a length-and-a-half.

De Bromhead said: “That was good and I’m delighted with it. Andrew said that he was a bit hard to get around the bends in front.

“He is real galloping horse and the faster they go the better he is. He is a big raw four-year-old and he is a real horse for the future and fences. We will give him a break now and probably bring him back for Leopardstown at Christmas.

“Hopefully there won’t be a problem with him going left-handed there. He is not entered in the Royal Bond and I think he will be better on better ground.”

TOMORROW: I’ll look back at the Voler La Vedette’s flop and Flemenstar’s impressive win.
