DUNDALK: Irish racing returns after a blank week at Dundalk on Friday but unfortunately Saturday’s meeting at Fairyhouse has been cancelled after further overnight rain at the track.

At last – some Irish racing is back !!

The 7.20 at Dundalk looks a match-up between Typhoon Lily and Muizenberg Nights with the BETDAQ market favouring the former at the time of writing.

Both ran races full of promise on debut here at Dundalk.

Typhoon Lily was a staying on third behind Opera Gloves over a mile having been sent off at 20/1. She holds another of tonight’s rivals, Ravello Again, on that form.

Muizenberg Nights has a more recent run to her name. She finished a four length second to Sword Of Light last week over six furlongs. Sword Of Light hadn’t shown too much previously so I question the value of Muizenberg Nights’ four length beating.

The odds look right here and I’m favouring Typhoon Lily.

All eyes will be on Pique Sous who aims to book his return ticket to the Cheltenham Festival in the 6.50.

The six-year-old was third in last season’s Champion Bumper when he was the chosen mount of Ruby Walsh and after winning a couple of bumpers during the summer, then won his second race over hurdles in impressive fashion at Thurles in October.

Connections hope a good run tonight will put him right for a tilt at one of the novice hurdles back at Cheltenham in March.
