Last weekend wasn’t one to remember for me. I’ve been out injured for a few weeks and I have a mate who is a physio at Arsenal, so I went to the Emirates to watch my team against Blackburn in the FA Cup.

It’s probably fair to say it was the worst 90 minutes of my life! I saw the Gunners get done by a late goal and Twitter constantly kept me up to date with the fact we were losing at Bath.

I’ve spoken to a few of the boys and I don’t think the 40-16 scoreline really reflected the performance. We had three sin bins and it spoils the contest when you are playing around 30 minutes of a Premiership game a man short.

This is a massive game against Wasps and overall our home form has been good so I’m confident we can pull out a result.

And Sir Alex Ferguson should be expectant when Manchester United host Real Madrid on the 5th March.

This week’s charity bet is going to be United to beat Madrid. They’ve gone out to Spain and got a hell of a result with that 1-1 draw.

The away goal is massive and I really don’t think Jose Mourinho’s men are as good as many people think. They’re 16 points behind Barcelona in La Liga and you would have really expected some of the Real Madrid teams of old to have won that game.

David de Gea made some great saves but Robin van Persie also had two great opportunities and they could even be 3-1 up going into this game had they had a bit of luck.

Ferguson reckons this is his best squad since 1999 – the magical year they won the Treble – and he’s been able to rest players having played Reading on Monday and QPR yesterday. A home game at Norwich next Saturday should mean the squad is refreshed for this crunch game.

I think they’ve done the hard work and can’t see why they aren’t favourites to win the match. At 2.96 on BETDAQ, they’re a confident bet to get the victory that will seal their place in the quarter-finals.
