We had a great evening in France last weekend and after two wins on the bounce there is a buzz around the camp so we hope to put on another good show against Mont de Marsan.

During our game, just 20 miles down the M4, the utterly remarkable horse that is Frankel will run for the last time, in the Champion Stakes at Ascot.

Frankel is truly one of a kind. Flat racing is going to say goodbye to a very important horse – one that many people who don’t even have an interest in the sport know of. Sir Henry Cecil’s four-year-old is unbeaten from 13 races and I can’t see anyone but Frankel landing the bumper £737,230 prize money for first place on the richest day in British racing.

But with Frankel likely to go off at around 1/8 – that’s odds of 1.13 on BETDAQ – only the mega punters will be piling on.

For my bet, I’ll be looking at Saturday’s early evening football game between Norwich and Arsenal at Carrow Road. There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic as a Gunners fan at the moment and I see no other result than an Arsenal win.

After a slow start, Arsene Wenger’s boys have got going in recent weeks and they’ve only lost once all season, to early pacesetters Chelsea. Santi Cazorla sprays the ball around brilliantly and has to be the signing of the season; Gervinho is hitting form; Lucas Podolski has settled in quickly and Olivier Giroud has found his scoring boots.

Norwich, meanwhile, already look set for a long battle against the drop. Losing manager Paul Lambert to Aston Villa was a blow and Chris Hughton has a real task on his hands. The Canaries are leaking goals at a rate of nearly 2.5 per game and are yet to register a win during their second season back in the top flight.

They conceded five against Fulham, another handful versus Liverpool and four at Chelsea. In that sort of form Arsenal look sound at odds of 1.96 on BETDAQ with a -1 Asian Handicap.

All three of their wins have been by a margin of two or more, so they should be able to overcome giving Norwich a one goal headstart.
