More commonly known as The Sun Alliance by racing enthusiasts due to the Insurance Company’s long sponsorship in the past, this Grade 1 contest is run on the second day of the Festival over 2m5f.

WAGGA MAN previews both the Supreme Novices Hurdle and the Arkle Challenge Trophy – the first two races on the opening day of Cheltenham 2014. The races are at 1.30pm and 2.05pm respectively and check the bottom of the page for latest BETDAQ prices.

The Ryanair Chase is run on the new Course at Cheltenham and shares headline status on the Thursday alongside the Ladbrokes World Hurdle. Run over 2m5f, the race was introduced in 2005, when the Festival got re-vamped and moved to four days.

The Queen Mother Champion Chase is run on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival and for many is the highlight of the meeting. Twelve fences are jumped over the two mile trip and much emphasis is put on jumping technique and speed, in this Grade One contest.

The Ladbrokes World Hurdle, formerly known as the Stayers Hurdle until 2005 is run over a distance of 3miles and it is the most prestigious staying hurdle race on the National Hunt calendar. WAGGA MAN previews the leading contenders….
