DAQMAN BRAVERY IS YOUR LINCOLN HOPE: Daqman landed last year’s Lincoln Handicap with Bravery (WON 20-1) to take an early lead over Pricewise which the Racing Post man could never claw back. Daqman has beaten Pricewise for nine consecutive seasons and wants to start the Flat with the big one again tomorrow.

HIS NAP KEEPS ON EARNING THE STAKES: Nonios landed 20 points for Daqman yesterday from his nap and Cliffs Of Dover 20 points on Monday from his supernap. Today he hopes that single-point stakes at 15.0 and 16.0 will pay for investments at Newbury and Lingfield, which include another brave best bet.

KAP THIS! A 16.0 OUTSIDER..

2.30 Newbury Venetia Williams returned to form with three wins out of five, still standing, in a hot spell between Saturday and Wednesday.

She tries 16.0 BETDAQ offer Kap Jazz in first-time blinkers, dropping the back-to-back winner of last February-March down from 3m and 3m 2f.

He’s on the same official mark as the clear favourite, Kincora Fort, who is up in class, weight and distance, appearing at a top-grade track for the first time.

There’s been no money for Halo Moon for two years now, still 25lb higher for a hat-trick at a lower level, and beaten in a veterans’ race on the last day.

3.05 Newbury Favourites have a dismal record in this, and I fancy a bit of BETDAQ 15.0 about Late Shipment (returns from December 2016 to end March last year: 213112).

He now races off 11lb lower than for his resumption in November and, nibbled at in the market for the first time in 12 months, was staying on at Hereford on the last day.

CHAMPS IS ON ICE FOR THIS

3.40 Newbury (Brown Chamberlin Trophy) They couldn’t give away the inconsistent Another Frontier this morning.

The money was for 4.3 BETDAQ favourite Ice Cool Champs, who attempts a third consecutive win second run back after a break.

He looks flattered by his distant Exeter second to the Cheltenham Ultima winner, Coo Star Sivola, but the others seem less than inspiring.

Bobo Mac fell that day at Exeter for the second time in three starts, and has won only his maiden (hurdle), always a bad sign. So, too, Joe Farrell, when facing obstacles.

Somewhere To Be’s form beyond 2m 4f is 00, and Le Boizelo, who has won only in novice company, also has a stamina query.

3.50 Lingfield Fire Fighting has been dropped 10lb since his reappearance from an eight-month break after injury. Well backed this morning (but 4.9 on BETDAQ) for the yard that won this race a year ago.

MOABIT FOR THE HAT-TRICK

4.10 Newbury Paul Nicholls’ claimers Megan Nicholls on the Flat (double) and Bryony Frost over hurdles (me-too double) have the winning habit with Moabit, four times between them since July.

Moabit made all off 11st 13lb at Wincanton on the last day but, though he’s up a grade here, carries 11st 12lb, which suggests that this race is a class 3 posing as a class 2.

The only one supported to stop his hat-trick this morning, Early Du Lemo, still has that ‘could be anything’ look after starting out his UK career in a Grade 2.

But that was nearly 14 months ago and trainer Gary Moore has a very poor strike rate at Newbury (3-55).

Sizing Granite was collecting parking tickets in the autumn (form PP) and his wind op will have to bring about a transformation, giving away four years to the 2.88 favourite.
