9-2 DAQMAN WINNER WAS TAKEN AT 7.0 ON BETDAQ: Daqman’s winner a day reached concert pitch with a fourth day in a row yesterday, yet again revealing the value in BETDAQ morning offers:

WON 9-2 CONCERT HALL Sunday (from BETDAQ 7.0)
WON 5-2 NUGGET Saturday (nap)
WON 4-1 FORBEARANCE Friday
WON 13-8 CAROLUS MAGNUS Thursday

DAILY ARC COUNTDOWN: SPOTLIGHT ON FIVE ACES: There are five aces in the Arc pack and, starting today, Daqman profiles one a day in alpha order. First card dealt is Adayar.

HAMILTON OFF: Today’s Hamilton card was called off this morning after an inch of rain fell in six hours with more forecast. Daqman keeps the stakes low with today’s three selections which include a big priced Bath nap.

DERBY WINNERS WILL BOTH RUN

🇫🇷 ARC UPDATE It is confirmed that Irish Derby winner Hurricane Lane (James Doyle) will join his Epsom Derby winning stablemate Adayar in the line-up for the Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp next Sunday. Today’s ace in the pack is Adayar:

ADAYAR 3yo b c. Rating: 127. Three wins from 6 starts (412211) for earnings of £1,165,027 (Godolphin – Charlie Appleby – William Buick)

Stats Last Epsom Derby winner to win the Arc was Golden Horn (2015). Godolphin won in 2001 (Sakhee) and 2002 (Marienbad)

Breeding: By Frankel (Galileo) out of a Dubawi mare who was placed in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and is related to winners up to 2m.

Style: Big, strong sort; a galloper not a quickener; has the stamina for further.

Big-race form: WON the Epsom Derby in June (Hurricane Lane third). WON the King George V1 and Queen Elizabeth Stakes in July from Mishriff and Love. First horse to do that double since Galileo in 2001. Gave Frankel his first Derby winner as a sire.

Going: Success has come on soft, good to soft and good to firm.

Trainerform: Charlie Appleby has had a sensational year, returning Godolphin to the top of the owners’ list, with winners of the English and Irish Derbys (Adayar and Hurricane Lane) and Jockey Club Derby at Belmont (Yibir) plus, for next year, the top two-year-olds Modern Games, Native Trail and Wild Beauty.

Jockey: William Buick has won five out of six starts on Hurricane Lane; two out of four on his Sunday choice, Adayar.

KEEN ON ISKAHEEN

⭕ 1.50 Bath Not only has the course avoided the overnight rain (which has claimed Hamilton) but the fields have held up well on fast ground.

The opening sprint handicap looks as open as the Cambridgeshire judged by the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE market which was struggling to find a favourite with SIX runners vying for that spot! It really does look that open.

In a closely knit race the draw may be even more of a factor. The instinct would be to think low numbers fare best over the minimum trip here but weirdly it’s the high numbers that do well which bucks the trend for a turning track.

That gives me added confidence about Iskaheen who has drawn box 13 on his handicap debut.

His trainer Denis Coakley has won with two of his last four runners.

Iskaheen is a leap of faith project in that we haven’t that much form to work on but he surprised everyone with a 125-1 3rd at Windsor last time out in a novice event and a literal interpretation of that form would suggest he is very well in here.

The form now looks rock solid – the winner Heredia followed up by winning a class 2 at Newbury and the runner-up Locke returned to win at Windsor on his next start.

The drop back in trip should also help Iskaheen who struggled in the closing stages of the six furlongs at Windsor.

There’ll be no 125/1 about today but a mid-morning price of 7.2 looks more than fair for a sporting nap to start the week.

WATCHING BRIEF

❌ 2.25 Bath I’d want even money to play on Firth Of Clyde in the 2.25 but the price was south of that and with a string of seconds he doesn’t make much appeal in a race I’ll leave well alone. It looks trappy with Sheer Rocks a first time out winner in opposition. That one beat a 1/10 favourite on debut in a three runner race at Chepstow. And the value of that form? I’ve no idea – hence the sitting back and watching.

KODI FOR GOLD MEDAL

⭕ 3.30 Bath Kodi Gold has been running well at Yarmouth and despite heading up 2lb in the weights could be competitive here on just his third start for David Evans.

Evans seems to have found some improvement from the three-year-old who is potentially well handicapped as his earlier form was modest.

EURAQUILO THE LATE PLAY

⭕ 6.30 Newcastle Hopefully a winner already – but if not I’m relying on Euraquilo to continue the ‘winner a day’ sequence.

The James Fanshawe trained runner brings solid form to the table with two good third-placed efforts at Redcar and Nottingham and is form looks superior to main rival Outsmart.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points)
BET 1.6pts win (nap) ISKAHEEN (1.50 Bath)
BET 2.8pts win KODI GOLD (3.30 Bath)
BET 7.5pts win EURAQUILO (6.30 Newcastle)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
