BIG-RACE PLACES FOR DAQMAN: Daqman finished the week with three winning naps out of six but smarting from the Lancashire Chase runner-up (Riggs 2nd 11-1) on Saturday and second and third from two bets in the Troytown yesterday, Farclas (2nd 11-2) and Mister Fogpatches (3rd 7-1).

HEH, WHAT’S THE BUZZ? Daqman’s wrap on the weekend suggests two more horses to follow for the Fortune Cookies.

THE LADBROKES TROPHY Starting tomorrow: big-race countdown for Saturday’s Ladbrokes Trophy.

FOUR FOR FORTUNE COOKIES

What’s the Buzz? Well, I’ve discarded the horse of that name as one to follow. I mean, where will he go?

There isn’t a Ryanair (2m 4f title race) for hurdlers, so his winning the Coral Hurdle at Ascot on Saturday leaves him falling between a drop back to the 2m championship or a step up to the 3m staying hurdles.

He has to be an Annie Power or a Faugheen to win the Champion Hurdle. Both captured the Coral Hurdle but both looked significantly more powerful and dominating than Buzz.

See you later! One I have no doubts about is A Plus Tard. I napped him to win the Lancashire Chase on Saturday and he was mighty impressive.

He was second in the Gold Cup last year when only six. The winner that day, Minella Indo, will be nine next year.

A star is born. Kauto Star won the Gold Cup when he was nine but had won it first at age seven. The race in his honour at Kempton on Boxing Day looks a perfect next step for Bravemansgame.

Paul Nicholls admits he’s talking about him ‘in the same breath as Denman’, and saw again on Saturday, as we all did, that he ‘jumps fantastically.’

Fortune Cookies So the Fortune Cookies list is now A Plus Tard, Blazing Khal, Bravemansgame and Protektorat. Every week, starting next week, I will update a full horses-to-follow list and the plans for them.

THE CALL IS MORE RUNNERS

⚠️ HEADS UP Only 30 runners on the good ground at Kempton, so pick yourself some Daq Multiples from Daqman’s analysis and save the best bet for Chelmsford later on.

⭕ 12.40 Kempton Call Of The Wild, half-brother to the same Alan King stable’s Chatez, was beaten for experience first time over a hurdles by a previous dual winner who made it four from five recently.

Paul Nichols’ Petrossian, out of a Yeats mare, is surely regarded as one for the future in staying races.

Hartnoll Hero, by the same sire as Petrossian, is making his hurdles debut today; hooded since his three bumper races at the turn of the year culminated in a hefty defeat when favourite at Hereford.

⭕ 1.15 Kempton Quicker ground suited Rockstar Ronnie over today’s CD a fortnight back, and it looks good for him again.

Atholl Street achieved a higher rating over hurdles but receives 6lb from ‘Ronnie’ and should have settled down from his fencing debut last month.

Sebastopol is a bridesmaid extraordinary: 2222222 form over hurdles and the last two over fences: second, second, second to some decent types (Proschema, Diego Du Charmi, Third Time Lucki) so again, though runners are thin on the ground, it’s a fascinating little contest.

⭕ 1.50 Kempton Willie Mullins ‘buys’ the better ground for My Sister Sarah by paying the fare over for this Listed after her run in the Irish Cesarewitch. Maybe the plan is back to Kempton at Christmas.

Getaway Totherock has been absent one day short of a year, and has not been a winner fresh before.

Midnightreflection has, but her yard is missing strike badly, with three favourites all beaten among recent results of 202U242; no winner in 24 days.

Whispering Gypsy hasn’t gone on from her maiden but Dragon Bones has: four in a row still standing and a solid second at Cheltenham first run back. But the ratings say that My Sister Sarah has 9lb in hand.

PRINCE LOVES IT AT KEMPTON

⭕ 2.25 Kempton Not a single winner of this 2m 4f handicap chase has been over the age of eight in the decade but the runners are all oldies today bar one.

Vision Des Flos is the sole contestant to fit the stats but, after Team Tizzard’s revival of Lostintranslation on Saturday, the apple of their eye, Killer Kane, failed to hit the target yesterday.

One excuse could be that they took away four fences in the straight because of low sun. Jumping is Kane’s forte not sprinting on the sun-dried ground at Exeter.

No excuses for Vision Des Flos if the yard has him right: he landed small-field good-ground chases back to back at today’s trip in September until, for the fourth time in his career, he could not handle 3m plus the last day at Wincanton.

Mercian Prince’s form at Kempton since the 2017-18 season is 11011, though he’s a couple of pounds higher than his last winning mark and gives weight all round today.

Gortroe Joe last won a race 19 starts back but the stable has been in fine form and he likes to go right-handed.

The Unit, who has raced in higher grades, cannot be ignored 13lb lower than his mark at this time last year.

Broken Quest has completed only once in his last four starts and Monty’s Award is a fragile horse, difficult to train.

BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE value 4.0 Mercian Prince

ANYTHING YOU KHAN DO..

⭕ 2.55 Kempton Inca Rose was reckoned a staying chaser but has not been easy to train and tries cheekpieces in this hurdles switch to handicaps today.

Khan won at Lingfield, just doing enough, and his 3lb rise is cancelled out by the claim of today’s rider. Neverbeen To Paris is better off with him at the weights on Huntingdon form but has never won beyond 2m 5f.

Not At Present has struck form this autumn with two out of three, emerging from novice level with a show of determination the last day.

Mellow Ben hasn’t really coped with the weights rise of back–to-back chase strikes two years ago and returns to hurdles.

Major Robinson has won only a bumper maiden, which is always a bad sign. Vaziani’s form last year was all on soft-heavy.

BETDAQ value 3.8 Khan

IMPROVER SHOULD BREEZE UP

⭕ 5.00 Chelmsford Marcus Tregoning has returned his string to the fray after a break. His first runner back was third at Kempton.

Now here’s Atalanta Breeze, who did us a good turn at Wolverhampton in September on a slow trajectory to better prizes and will welcome this step up to 2m.

Not quite a Dansili out of a Dubawi mare; his sire, Champs Elysees, is a Group-1 winning brother to Dansili.

BETDAQ value 2.75 Atalanta Breeze

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
