SHAW TING IN WINDSOR NURSERY

2.30 Windsor This is likely to be tough enough for these two year olds in the Nursery Handicap over a mile on heavy ground.

There are plenty with experience but the one I’m looking no further than is Shaw Ting in the hope that she will handle the ground. She was fourth over six furlongs on her debut on good to soft ground at Warwick in August and has run two really nice races since including last time out over a mile at Wolverhampton.

She has a decent opening mark and if she goes in the testing conditions, she could be hard to beat for Richard Kingscote and Tom Dascombe.

3.35 Windsor The second division of the Maiden doesn’t look as competitive as the first division and Geordan Murphy should prove good enough to get off the mark having run well last time out at Kempton.

4.40 Windsor Another competitive race over a mile and two furlongs and there are a couple with nice chances.

Greyvillea has been running well of late but had been a bit of a mixed bag during the summer. I would be fearful that a mark of 80 is still high enough for him.

Sweet Martoni is one that will relish the underfoot conditions and has won over course and distance previously. He has a big chance once more.

The one that appeals most to me however is Tullia for Luke Morris and William Knight. She is one that needs soft ground and trip of a mile is most suitable for her and she sports Blinkers for the first time.

2.40 Sedgefield This is Novice Hurdle that won’t exactly ignite much interest but it looks competitive enough between the top three in the market, Correggio, Roseerrow and Skyfire. All three have similar lines of form and experience and any of the three could realistically win this one.

Correggio was rated highly enough on the flat reaching a high of 77 at one point but it may be best to watch the market on his debut.

Roserrow was the highest rated of these on the flat at 93 and although he ran quite poorly on his only two starts over hurdles, this is such an ordinary race he should be able to improve the required amount and show his class in comparison to these rivals.

Skyfire has probably the best Hurdles form when finishing fourth a couple of weeks back at Market Rasen. That was quite an ordinary race also so it may not be a true showing of the actual form with Skyfire having been given an easy lead.

Roserrow could be the one to follow here.

3.45 Sedgefield This is a nice handicap hurdle, albeit lacking in quality, but it is competitive enough for the type of race that it is.

Midnight Streaker could pose some threat despite being top weight. She ran well in a couple of nice Bumpers in Ireland prior to three runs over hurdles. This is her Handicap debut and although she is best watched at the weights she could be one to follow in similar races through the season.

Monita Bonita was a 10 length winner at Cartmel two runs back but failed to follow up over 3 miles at Perth next time and was subsequently disqualified after the rider lost his weight cloth. A handicap mark closer to 90 is probably what she needs and may be just slightly too high in the handicap today.

Langley House is likely to be a big danger but she doesn’t jump very well and this could be an issue.

I’m going to take a chance on Danceintothelist for Micky Hammond and Joe Colliver. Although it’s quite a while sine he has got his head in front, he’s been dropping steadily in the handicap and a mark of 88 twinned with Colliver’s five pound claim is an attractive prospect and this could prove to be a nice opportunity for him.
