STAR TIPPING! THAT’S FOUR MAX BETS UP: Daqman yesterday completed a hat-trick of high-stakes naps, taking him to 88 points profit on the three, before his luck ran out. He also scored with another long-shot at Naas through Star Max (3rd 6-1), who was backed down from 16.0 on BETDAQ. That’s four max bets up, then! His naps trio:

WON 4-9 ESPOIR D’ALLEN (supernap Sunday)
WON 6-4 HONEYSUCKLE (supernap Saturday)
WON 9-2 CRACKING FIND (Friday bull’s-eye nap to win 50)

FORTUNE COOKIES UPDATE: How do the weekend results affect his horses-to-follow Fortune Cookies? And which ones have big-race dates in the week ahead?

I SEE HONEYSUCKLE AS A TOP CHASER

FORTUNE COOKIES: Decisions, decisions! I’m leaving Frodon and Elegant Escape, Saturday’s Cotswold Chase one-two, in my Fortune Cookies horses to follow. But it depends where they run.

I cannot see either one troubling Elegant Escape’s stablemate, Native River, in the Cheltenham Gold Cup but there’s a long way to go; things happen, and sensible decisions are the ones trainers make near the time after owners have gradually realised there are better alternatives!

This column ‘found’ Frodon at the start of his career, and he would be a Ryanair banker but all that glitters to the big-time owner is the Gold Cup.

The debate seems to be about the distance. Of course he’ll stay the Gold Cup trip but will he stay it and have enough left in the tank to win? Native River and Coneygree will make it a real test.

I was very impressed with Paisley Park, who jumped to the front of the stayers’ hurdle market, and I thought that – though a different animal – Honeysuckle worth following from now on.

She has the potential to score again over the smaller obstacles but is a long-term chasing prospect, so coould be in the list for some time. This week’s engagements:

HONEYSUCKLE (Mares Hurdle, Leopardstown, Sunday) new
LAURINA (Irish Champion Hurdle, Leopardstown, Saturday)
PRESENTING PERCY (Irish Gold Cup, Leopardstown, Sunday)
SHARJAH (Irish Champion Hurdle, Leopardstown, Saturday)
WINTER ESCAPE (Flogas Novice Chase, Leopardstown Sunday)

Also: ANGEL’S BREATH, BOYHOOD, CHAMP, CLAN DES OBEAUX, ELEGANT ESCAPE, ELDORADO ALLEN, FIDUX, FRODON, INVITATION ONLY, LALOR, LE PREZIEN, LOSTINTRANSLATION, MIDNIGHT SHADOW, MISSED APPROACH, NATIVE RIVER, PAISLEY PARK new, PALMERS HILL, PRESENTING PERCY, ROBINSFIRTH, ROCK THE KASBAH, RONS DREAM, THE WORLD’S END, UP FOR REVIEW, VERDANA BLUE, WARRIORS TALE.

Profit-and-loss (all horses to follow so far, including plus and minus prior to deletions from previous lists) to 20-point level stakes: +556.76

HEY BILL! IT’S YOUR TRACK

1.00 Kempton Nicky Henderson has seven runners today, five of them here, including Precious Cargo, a bumper winner for Lucinda Russell.

This is his hurdles debut after a wind op, but you’d expect a Henderson to be favourite in a daft race like this one, whereas Extra Mag was even money this morning, despite giving weight all round as a penalty for scoring at Exeter.

I fancy Oscar Maguire as my outsider of the day. Olly Murphy’s recent winners have been novice hurdlers, and he’s asked Richard Johnson to get to the track early for the BETDAQ 82.0 offer.

2.05 Kempton Pym looks like the Henderson nap. Second in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham, and might have won if the hill hadn’t been in the way.

2.40 Kempton King Cnut won well at Plumpton but that was autumn racing on hard ground. Second Time Around is giving weight to the field, despite being a maiden.

I shall give another chance to Miss Yeats, from just down the road at Epsom. You can forget her last run, when hiked 11lb and up two grades.

She’s back in her class today and loses some of the weight thanks to Harry Teal’s claim. I took 8.6 on BETDAQ

4.00 Ludlow Hey Bill, a 4.0 BETDAQ offer, won twice on this course last season, and his stable’s current form is 1011, still standing.

Mistress Massini has won some weak contests and she is prone to getting the sulks if she doesn’t have her own way. Come on Bill!
