DAILY DAQMAN YOUR PRICE BUSTER: Daqman’s tip for Mr Buster (WON 10-11) yesterday produced his 23rd winning tip in 12 days, covering the major meetings at Chester and York, in which he strode 22-10 ahead of Pricewise. Every day had at least one winner, and his big-race hits included:

WON 18-1 SOUL SISTER (Musidora Stakes, York)
WON 12-1 BIELSA (from 16.5 taken on BETDAQ)
WON 7-1 CROUPIER (Hambleton Handicap)
WON 6-1 THE FOXES (Dante Stakes)
WON 5-1 METIER (Chester Cup, BETDAQ 7.7)
WON 9-2 BERTINELLI (London Gold Cup, Newbury, BETDAQ 7.2)
WON 6-4 THELEME (French Champion Hurdle BETDAQ 4.8)
WON 3-5 BLUE ROSE CEN (French 1,000 Guineas)
WON 9-4 ETERNAL HOPE (Lingfield Oaks Trial)

THE TOP MEETINGS: Most of Daqman’s big winners came at the York and Chester festivals; he wants the same again at Goodwood and the Curragh Guineas meeting.

DAQMAN’S BIG-RACE DATES

HOLIDAY racing starts this week at Ayr, Brighton, Market Rasen, Redcar and Yarmouth but Daqman is plotting another big-race spree over two great venues: the Friday-Saturday Derby-trial meeting at Goodwood and Irish Guineas weekend at the Curragh.

Sandown, Thursday night Whitsun Cup and Brigadier Gerard Stakes, won last year by Bay Bridge, who went on to be British Middle-Distance Champion in October.

Goodwood, Friday The final Oaks trial, the Height Of Fashion Stakes, won by English and Irish Oaks dual winner Snow Fairy (2010).

The final Derby trial, the Cocked Hat Stakes, famously produced a giant of the turf, Epsom and Irish Derby winner, Troy (1979) when the race was run as the Predominate Stakes.

Curragh, Saturday Greenland Stakes (6f, Group 2; Group 3 until 2014). The last winning favourite was Markab (Henry Candy) in 2010.

Irish 2,000 Guineas: Stalls 1 and 2 have won four in a row and six of the last nine. Favourites are also six out of nine, four of them out of those low-two stalls.

Haydock, Saturday Temple Stakes (5f, Group 2): royal runner Kings Lynn goes for a repeat, but Charles Hills (chooses from Equality, Equilateral and Khaadem) and Clive Cox (sole entry Get Ahead) have dominated the race with two winners each since 2016.

Curragh, Sunday Eight out of 10 winners of the Tattersalls Gold Cup (1m 2.5f, Group 1) came out of stalls one to four.

Home fillies have kept the Irish 1,000 Guineas at home for nine years now, five of them trained by Aidan O’Brien, but just two of them favourite. England last won it with Just the Judge (Charles Hills), also favourite, in 2013.

MY ANTI-POST BET

⭕ 5.00 Windsor What a difference a week makes! It’s dried up quickly at Windsor and we are racing on expected good to firm ground.

That will certainly help Antiphon in the opener as two of his three career turf wins have come on good to firm including over the six furlongs here.

A reproduction of his latest Lingfield second could be good enough and it’s interesting to note that Tom Marquand takes over in the saddle for the first time.

He could be a spot of value here over likely Betdaq Betting Exchange market leader Vespasian whose best form today has come on the all-weather.

It might prove folly to oppose a Simon & Ed Crisford trained runner given their current form but Vespasian looked like he needed further than tonight’s five furlongs when plugging on to good effect at Thirsk last time out on soft ground.

GALILAEUS GIVEN NAP VOTE

⭕ 5.40 Redcar It’s hard to look beyond Galilaeus who races under a penalty for a quite convincing win at Bath last week. It was an odd race and probably best not to take the form to literally but the front two finished 17 lengths clear of the third!

The blinkers seemed to click for Galilaeus who sports them again and the Ralph Beckett runner can strike one more time before the handicapper has his inevitable say.

⭕ 7.05 Windsor No bet for me here – but it could easily throw up a good filly. It’s a class 2 event in which Newbury third Gentle Light sets the form standard for the two interesting debutants to aim at Golden Smile (Charlie Appleby) and Vaguely Regal (Gosdens) both have had nibbles in the early mooning exchanges.

STATES THE CASE FOR DEL MAR

⭕ 7.35 Windsor Ed Walker has his string in good form with 5 winners from his last 26 runners including Snuggle here last week.

His Reina Del Mar understandably looked as though she needed the race after a 570 day absence when only seventh of eight at Salisbury but she was by no means disgraced and the return to quicker ground is a big positive.

She’s a previous winner at Newbury on good to firm and remains lightly raced – the handicapper has taken a chance by dropping her 3lb so quickly and (again) Tom Marquand rides for us.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
