NOBLE YEATS IS BIG BETDAQ VALUE

⭕ 1.30 Aintree (Many Clouds Chase) A Grand National winner quickly fades away unless he is a Many Clouds, and Noble Yeats may be among that rare breed after scoring at Wexford in October.

Today he meets Ahoy Senor who ran away with the novice chase on the Grand National card in April (L’Homme Presse third) but flopped on his reappearance at Wetherby.

Today he has to prove that making him favourite to beat Bravemansgame that day was a less than ludicrous proposition.

Dashel Drasher won four out of five last year and Chantry House is five in a row still standing but pulled up twice when stepped up to King George and Gold Cup level.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 9.3 Noble Yeats

ASHTOWN LAD AS STRONG AS AN OAK

⭕ 2.05 Aintree (Becher Chase) Nine out of 10 winners carried 10st 12lb or less but I forecast in my Wednesday preview that it’s wiser today to play above 11st on the drying ground in a moderate field.

‘Moderate’, as revealed in the rating and weight of last year’s winner Snow Leopardess, who carried 10st 4lb off a 140 mark that day but, though rated only 6lb higher now, has to carry 11st 13lb.

Snow Leopardess started 10-1 favourite for the Grand National, but was always struggling and pulled up after the 16th.

She also pulled up on her reappearance at Warwick in October but luck was against her that day; starting at 5-1, she slipped approaching the first fence.

I also warned that a six-year-old had never won the Becher and, even though favourites have captured three of the last six, Gesskille to be beaten is a bit of Lays Logic but currently not a lays price.

Toughie Ashtown Lad, who jumped really well at Wetherby early on in the year and was second until two out in the Scottish Grand National, had a prep for this over hurdles on the course.

Five Star Getaway is given another chance over the National fences after weakening well out of it in the Topham. Enqarde gets his conditions for the first time since winning the Tommy Whittle but his stable has been out of form.

Captain Kangaroo was getting nearly two stone when beating Recite A Prayer (3rd) in the Cork Grand National but is up 13lb.

Dr Kananga is raised 15lb since back-to-back strikes on the soft in February and has been held twice since, either side of the summer break.

I lumbered Fantastikas with a Fortune Cookie tag after his third to L’Homme Presse in the Dipper at Cheltenham in January but he jumped awkwardly in the Ultima and again when favourite over 3m 3f there last month.

The big fences here often make a horse rise to the occasion, literally, and he could bounce back, with Ashtown Lad and Recite A Prayer making up my usual win-50 trio in a race like this.

BETDAQ value 7.5 Ashtown Lad, 17 Fantastikas, 25 Recite A Prayer.

GET A PLAYFUL PUNT AT BETDAQ 10.5

⭕ 2.20 Sandown Playful Saint has won after a long break but needed his reappearance run, then had to swerve the Greatwood because of the quick ground; soft going here will suit.

He gets a stone from Love Envoi, unbeaten including here at Sandown ahead of taking the mares’ novices at Cheltenham in March, before Brandy Love stopped her in the mares’ novices championship final at Fairyhouse.

Harry Skelton is at Aintree but Kielan Woods is riding like a man possessed, so I just give Playful Saint the edge. Woods has had 14 of his last 16 mounts placed, four of them winners.

BETDAQ value 3.35 Love Envoi, 10.5 Playful Saint

DOORS OPEN FOR A RIDERS’ REPEAT

⭕ 2.40 Aintree Clan Legend, who will be 13 in a month’s time, goes for a remarkable treble, after taking this class-2 (2m 4f) handicap chase at age 10 and 11.

This is the third season running he’s used Ayr as his prep and then won his target race in a terrific piece of training by Scotland’s Nick Alexander. Danny McMenamin has ridden him every time.

Riders Onthe Storm was giving a stone to Clan Legend when runner-up last year and won back from his break and unfancied at 20-1.

He’ll be a different proposition this time, after winning the Old Roan Chase over the Aintree CD in October, beating Hitman, a winner since and being quoted as low as 7-2 for the King George.

Gunsight Ridge has been placed in 10 races out of 12 but his success has all been at 2m since his Pointing days. Brave Seasca is also stepping up in trip.

Knight In Dubai has slid down the handicap, 12lb lower than when unseating at the Cheltenham Festival of 2020.

Suggested an imminent return to form when runner-up at Bangor last month without his usual tongue-tie, which is back on today.

BETDAQ value 5.4 Riders Onthe Storm, 7.1 Knight In Dubai

GREANE FOR GO IN THE TINGLE CREEK

⭕ 2.55 Sandown (Tingle Creek Chase): Daqman’s horse-by-horse ratings and form in Tuesday’s Archive.

Grade-1 form gives Greaneteen (BETDAQ 3.05) the edge in a seeming match with Shishkin but Arkle winner Edwardstone (7.7 offers) won the Henry V111 here by 16 lengths.

⭕ 3.30 Sandown (London National): Deise Aba was beaten a nose in this last year (with Eclair De Guye seven lengths third) and was again just held, a head, in the Masters Chase on the course in February.

Revels Hill is an improving novice, while Neil Mulholland bids for a third win in seven years in this race with ‘hidden horse’ Planned Paradise.

Some special jockeys bookings: Harry Cobden for Eclair De Guye and Jamie Moore for Planned Paradise.

BETDAQ value 7.4 Deise Aba

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
