NOW IT’S A HAT-TRICK OF BANKERS: Daqman landed his third consecutive banker yesterday, with maximum 20-points stakes on High Secret (WON 4-11), an all-the-way winner by six lengths at Wolverhampton. His three in a row at SP, all better prices in BETDAQ morning offers, were:

WON 4-6 BRAVO ZOLO
WON 1-4 GERMANY CALLING
WON 4-11 HIGH SECRET

HE HITS THE HEADLINES AGAIN: For those who follow Daqman’s headlines, yesterday’s both won: ‘The Secret Is Out On Prescott Banker’ and ‘Telmeyd Has Only To Get Away this Time’. Daqman doubled High Secret (WON 4-11) with the 12-pointer single Telmeyd (WON 13-8).

TODAY: THREE BIG MEETINGS: Now check out Daqman’s views on the big meetings at Newmarket and Ascot, where there’s another banker, and the first day of the Arc meeting. His clashes with Pricewise? 2.40, 3.15 Longchamp, 3.30 Newmarket, 3.15, 3.50 Ascot.

TOMORROW: ARC CRESCENDO: Tomorrow is the high point of the international season, an Arc card of top-class racing at Longchamp, with Daqman intent on increasing his Flat-season lead of 63-26 over Pricewise (overall totals 102-38).

VEDA FRESHENED UP FOR VICTORY

1.30 Longchamp (Prix Chaudenay) Vent De Force (gale-force wind) is appropriately by Hurricane Run but would be an inappropriate winner of this Group 2, having won three and more grades lower. With only seven runs on the CV, this out-and-out stayer of Hughie Morrison’s, should finish the trip well, though.

Alain de Royer-Dupre, who has won this four times since 2003, saddles the Aga Khan owned Vazira, a filly by Sea The Stars, but she has to step up in trip here.

Balno Hope holds Auvray, Glaring, Theme Astral and Doumaran on form, and the Jeremy filly may still be improving. German raider Kaldera can also perform on top of the ground.

2.08 Longchamp (Prix Daniel Wildenstein) Wildenstein was four times the Arc-winning owner, notably with the fabulous mare Allez France and more recently record-breaking Peintre Celebre (1997).

Gerald Mosse rides English raider Baltic Knight but the Hannon hope needs to improve, tackling Group-2 company for the first time, though is nicely drawn in stall 5.

French 1,000 Guineas runner-up, Veda beat today’s Sun Chariot runner, Fintry, in the Spring but was behind her at Chantilly. Needs to be fresh to run well, as she is here, back from a 125-day holiday.

La Hoguette ran second to Fintry in that Chantilly race and was placed in the Group-1 Prix Jean Prat but is drawn wide today.

Kenhope finished close up at Leopardstown to the Group-1 pair, Fiesolana and Rizeena. The grey Solow has found his feet dropped back to this trip on very soft ground and may need further now he encounters good going.

2.40 Longchamp (Prix de Royallieu) It’s 30-10 three-year-olds over four-year-olds in this in 40 years; no winning older horses.

The Aga Khan, who has won it seven times, six of them trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre, relies on Zarshana, who has a bit of extra work to do from gate 8 of a field of 11, and has needed aids (blinkers, cheekpieces).

Another Sea The Stars filly, All At Sea, is unexposed after only three races – two of them wins – and should be suited by the step up in trip and the good ground. Reservations are that Andre Fabre – he has three in this – has sent his top jockeys to England for the Sun Chariot.

Flavien Prat, riding Your Game for Fabre here, had two winners at this Longchamp meeting last year, including in the Daniel Wildenstein (2.08 today).

Your Game, a Montjeu, and 18.0 on BETDAQ early mouse, is another lightly raced sort with the potential to improve.

3.15 Longchamp (Prix Dollar) Cirrus des Aigles goes for a hat-trick in this, having also won it four years ago but has not been seen since beating Arc hope Flintshire in the Coronation Cup at the Epsom Derby meeting, finishing lame. Underperformed in the Spring after a long break.

Intriguing that one of Cirrus Des Aigles’ winning jockeys in this, Olivier Peslier, rides for Fabre on the maiden Pilote (22.0 offers) though stablemate Fractional (6.4) is the more fancied to overturn the favourite after beating Smoking Sun and Planetaire, stepped back up to today’s trip at Maisons. Supplemented for today’s race.

IT’S MUTHMIR FOR MY FOURTH BANKER

2.05 Ascot (Rous Stakes) Steps won this Listed a year ago but needs some cut in the ground and, unless the rain is heavy, I think this is all about Muthmir, who swerves a try at Group 2 and the Group-1 Abbaye.

It’s steady he goes for this four–year-old with only seven starts on his CV when he was so impressive in the Ladbrokes Portland at the Doncaster St Leger meeting. I put him up for this earlier in the week, and only if the rain gets into the ground can my enthusiasm be dampened.

2.20 Newmarket (Tattersalls Millions Two-Year-Old Trophy): This race was launched in drama in 2008 as the subsequent Breeders Cup Juvenile winner, Donativum, beat the subsequent Racing Post Trophy winner, Crowded House. But neither trained on, and between them they lost a packet for their punters.

Winning trainer that day, John Gosden, who took it again four years later, now runs only the outsider Swot. Like Aidan O’Brien’s runner, The Warrior, Swot is a maiden.

The Warrior, Misterioso, Outlaw Country and Tannaaf are the only Group entries, all hopefuls for the Dewhurst or the Racing Post. You takes your pick.

2.40 Ascot (Cumberland Lodge Stakes) This has been a graveyard in the last two seasons: the winners raced just once more each, without scoring again.

It’s two years since Encke robbed Camelot of the Triple Crown, by taking the St leger, and he runs over a shorter trip here, vulnerable to a tactical race in a small field. Much depends on how much rain gets into the ground, if any.

Pether’s Moon won’t mind either way and has already beaten Encke this season over today’s trip when Encke was unable to quicken on firm ground.

Parish Hall has always been a 1m 2f horse but a slow pace could enable him to figure at the business end. Energia Fribby doesn’t have to improve much (about 4lb). She’s an autumn sort and and it’s the fillies’ time of year.

2.55 Newmarket (Oh So Sharp Stakes) Since Miss France took this last year, the bookies are sure to put up today’s heroine for the 1,000 Guineas of 2015 but be warned that the five previous winners never won another race in Europe.

Yodelling’s family was very successful in America and she looked good, starting out on Polytrack, which also applies to another Godolphin, Local Time.

But she faces May Hill form (Shagah) on turf and the well-bred Majestic Manner ‘could be anything’, with winners in her maidens.

3.05 Redcar (Two-Year-Old Trophy) Yorkshire trainers have held out over the raiders for four seasons in a row, and Tim Easterby goes for a hat-trick.

After two winners low in the handicap, Tim has Mattmu (8.8 on BETDAQ this morning) down the bottom there, too, getting weight from 21 others. Limato’s having beaten the Molecomb winner puts him at the front of the ratings and the betting.

3.15 Ascot (Bengough Stakes) Three-year-olds are acey-deucey in this (form figures 1212), and George Margarson, who hit form with Excellent Guest yesterday, has finally dropped lost year’s Lowther Stakes winner Lucky Kristale back to sprinting: 14.0 on BETDAQ this morning.

When Signs Of Blessing ran up to Catcall (big chance in tomorrow’s Abbaye) earlier in the season, the subsequent Nunthorpe second was in third. Another big offer at 16.0.

3.30 Newmarket (Sun Chariot Stakes) The three-year-olds broke back last year through Sky Lantern in a race they dominated earlier in the century.

It was also a welcome return to the winners’ enclosure for an English filly after the French had taken four Sun Chariots in a row.

But they mean business again today, with Andre Fabre bringing three riding aces over to HQ for this one race when he has important runners at Longchamp.

Fintry (Mickael Barzalona) moves up to Group 1 but could get a boost in France 90 minutes before this from La Hoguette or Veda.

Esoterique (Pierre-Charles Boudoit) beat stablemate, the 1,000 Guineas winner, Miss France (Maxime Guyon) at Chantilly – Integral third – but that was on very soft ground in a small field tactical race. Integral, in turn, has beaten Sky Lantern and Kiyoshi.

Miss France was hampered attempting the French Oaks trip behind tomorrow’s Arc fancy, Avenir Certain, and can return to form here, if the going remains on top. I was encouraged to have a bet by the 102% BETDAQ orange, almost paying out what is put in.

3.50 Ascot (Challenge Cup) Heaven’s Guest returns to this at the double with the same jockey as for last year’s win, Ryan Moore, but 5lb more in the saddle.

Prince’s Trust missed the Cambridgeshire but certainly gets further than this 7f and the guaranteed fast-run race should suit on his way to Champions’ Day later in the month (must be in the first six here to get in).
