NO JOY THEN 12-1 DAQMAN HIT! Daqman lost a place return on Joy Choi (3rd 16-1, beaten a neck and a neck) when the withdrawal of his second bet in the race, The Coffee Pod, reduced the field. But 40 minutes later another Daqman outsider scored at 12-1 yesterday.
Friday: profit on the day 9.75pts
WON 12-1 LEXINGTON KNIGHT
WON (LAYS LOGIC) Best Adventure unplaced 3-1 favourite
* Daqman snubbed The Lion In Winter in his Fortune Cookies update and yesterday the colt drifted to 12-1 for the Epsom Derby.
TODAY: Best of three holiday meetings, with more outsiders at BETDAQ offers this morning.
TOMORROW: The French Derby.
CHECKMATE WITH CASTLE
⭕ 1.48 Haydock Favourites don’t win this and you’ll have to take on 16 others at around 7-2 about the grey Fine Interview but he’s climbed the ranks and is still unexposed.
Front-runner Sergeant Wilko was upwardly mobile 18lb last year and has run in class 2 since being gelded. In cheekpieces first time today.
Durham Castle was a big horse, still filling his frame in his first season, when he landed 2-2 as favourite both times then was wisely put away. BETDAQ 5.7 taken.
Oisin Murphy hasn’t won on the quirky King’s Lynn for four years (it was the next race on this card, the Listed) but they were beaten only a couple of lengths at Ascot and Goodwood last summer and have dropped 7lb. Betdaq Betting Exchange 6.6.
TAKE JASOUR: NOT HALF!
⭕ 2.23 Haydock Murphy’s chance in the Listed today lies with No Half Measures, who is just a couple of pounds behind Jasour in the ratings.
Jasour has had wind surgery after failing to cope with Group-1 company following third spot in the Commonwealth Cup. He’d won the Trial for that race first run back last May.
No Half Measures has had a run this Spring but was a drifter in the markets this morning.
AUDIENCE FOR KINROSS
⭕ 3.33 Haydock (John Of Gaunt Stakes) Winning a race – which Daqman did here with a hefty punt on 5-1 Kinross (2021) – boosts confidence for another go at the same event.
When it’s the same horse coming back for more, divided loyalties make it difficult to bet.
But, since that 2021 victory, Kinross has bagged six Group 2 and a Group 1, taking his prizemoney won to just a few bob short of £2m.
He is eight now and an immediate concern is his old sparring partner, Audience, who in theory can catch up on any Kinross deterioration.
There was threeparts of a length between them at levels in a Group 2 at York in 2023, but the two years younger Audience gets 5lb today.
WITCH AT THE WEIGHTS
⭕ 2.10 Chester The low draw helped give Daqman a hugely profitable Chester Cup meeting.
The stalls bias doesn’t always apply for the rest of the season, particularly if they provide a cutaway. The easy surface like yesterday would also change things but it’s likely to have dried up.
Stall 4 beat 2 in this last year but, by August, the CD success of Yanifer – who runs again here – produced a result by stall of 12-10-8 in a bigger field.
The Hungerford winner of 2023, Balmoral third last year, Witch Hunter (drawn 2) is half a stone lower than last Spring but another year older. BETDAQ 9.5.
Just a pound behind (coming out of 7), Fair Point won his small-field maiden at Chester by 20 lengths and was placed eight times in a row. He’s back after a long break: BETDAQ 9.9.
ZOOM IN ON ZAYER: 12.0
⭕ 2.40 York Five-year-olds have beaten 3yo 4-2 since 2017. Jm Jungle represents consistent form in the older age group but is 8lb higher than when he last won, which was here in August.
Zayer and Loom are likely-looking second-season contenders, having run in Group races in their juvenile career.
Loom was second here at York in a 22-strong sprint 15 days ago, finishing well, and connections have Royal Ascot in mind. BETDAQ 6.3 taken.
Zayer needed his run back and, though his yard is struggling with 1-41, he was being touted this morning. BETDAQ 12.0.
The danger to all is probably 8.7 offer Venture Capital who dropped back in trip to be a sprinter, so has plenty in the locker for a finish. Ryan Moore booked.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
