SEEING IS BELIEVING IN BETDAQ VALUE Daqman’s latest sequence of success – three big race hits and five naps up in five days – which ended on Friday, was quickly restored yesterday when BELIEVING (WON 5-1 from BETDAQ 8.3) was an impressive Haydock winner for a profit on the day.

EASY, LIKE A SUNDAY AFTERNOON

⭕ 1.45 Punchestown Six UK meetings on Saturday – two today. It’s still weird to me that so much priority is given to Saturdays and surely a more balanced weekend fixture list works better for everyone?

Ireland totally get that Sunday is a great day for racing as indeed do other sports. Until then, we have the Clapham Junction of UK racing on a Saturday and with some of the race times now it also feels like a train timetable!

It also feels slightly odd to be talking about a Punchestown jumps card in mid-June and whilst today’s card on forecast good ground in modest by usual course standards, it’s thrown up a really interesting and competitive novices chase at 1.45pm.

Five of the seven strong field were winners last time out and I think the front of the Betdaq Betting Exchange market is where we need to focus on – unlike in the Belmont last night (run at Saratoga this year) where there was a real boilover of a result when Kentucky Derby 10th Dornoch looked a different horse and popped up at around 20/1 to claim the last leg of the Triple Crown.

Back to Punchestown and Easy Fella might take some catching here after his superbly impressive debut over fences at Tipperary where he relished the bigger obstacles and came home 18 lengths clear of Prairie Dancer.

Henry De Bromhead’s runner had plenty of ability over hurdles too, including a win here but already looks as though chasing is his game.

Solitary Man had to work much harder for his debut chase success at Killarney but that form was given a terrific boost when the runner-up Duffle Coat won the Mayo National in good style at Ballinrobe next time out.

He is a big danger alongside the Willie Mullins trained mare Saylavee who did nothing wrong when winning on chasing debut at Killarney.

SUPERNAP JUST IN TIME

⭕ 3.55 Goodwood (Agnes Keyser Fillies’ Listed) It’s Supernap time with Sea Just In Time who looked rather special when winning her debut at Newmarket in a class 2 by four and three quarter lengths.

Even more impressive when you consider she still ran green and had the field in behind well strung out.

The William Haggas trained runner has a stack of big race entries (including the Arc) and her price for the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot is worth keeping an eye out for on the back of today’s race.

It would be disappointing if she couldn’t account for the likes of York Listed race third Bolsena here which is surely a stepping stone to greater things?

LEGEND NOT OUT OF THIS

⭕ 5.05 Goodwood (Tapster Stakes Listed) I’ll take a chance on opposing the warm favourite King Of Conquest in the second Listed race on the card.

The Charlie Appleby trained runner went four in-a-row last year and ran a cracker at Newmarket last time out when pipped by Middle Earth but on value grounds (mainly) Deauville Legend is only three pounds inferior yet is nearly three times the price of the favourite here!

Deauville Legend has yet to find his 2022 form which saw him win the Great Voltigeur at York but he may have needed his comeback run at Chester / not totally liked the course and is likely to step up on that effort today.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
