PLACE HIT FROM 22.0 CLASSIC BETDAQ GAMBLE: A nearly day for Daqman yesterday but again he illustrated the fantastic value available on BETDAQ with a win and place on Crosspark (3rd 9-1 from 22.0 BETDAQ) in the Warwick Classic. He came to win at the last when three horses were in line abreast.

‘NO POINT FOLLOWING LOSERS’, SAYS DAQMAN: ‘Out they go’, says Daqman, after Charbel and Rockpoint disappointed, and are deleted from his Fortune Cookies, which are now 526 points in profit. ‘They may do better on softer ground but they’ve probably gone as far as they can go and we don’t entertain losers; we show them the door.’

SEE YOU LATER, A PLUS TARD!

12.40 Punchestown Continuing my journey to the festivals via the Irish trials. Last year’s winner of this was a close runner-up in the big-field mares’ chase at the Punchestown festival.

I fancy Roxboro Road, who is related to winners of stamina events, can improve now stepped up in trip. I took 8.6 from the BETDAQ orange.

1.15 Punchestown This could be a real Cheltenham pointer, with A Plus Tard probably a good thing here at 2.42 this morning, receiving a stone from Winter Escape, his potential Leopardstown Arkle rival at the Dublin Festival.

2.20 Punchestown (Amateur National) Patrick Mullins is the most experienced amateur pilot in this and he is hoping that the exposed Undressed (!), disappointing on the last day, will revert to his decent run at Limerick with the tongue-tie removed: 5.9 BETDAQ offers.

2.50 Punchestown (Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle) The ground is a worry for Harrie so Willie Mullins is hoping that his smart mare Buildmeupbuttercup – getting all the allowances – can take a race he’s won five times in six seasons.

His previous winners include Vautour, Douvan and Min. That’s two subsequent winners and a second in the Supreme Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Buildmeupbuttercup (3.6 Paul Townend) leapfrogged Harrie (out to 5.2 Ruby Walsh) in the BETDAQ market.

TRIXSTER HAS HIDDEN VALUE

12.30 Kelso Olly Murphy has had five winners this year and Tim Vaughan (all the way from Wales) watched just one – the only favourite – win.

They clash with Skandiburg, who beat nothing well at Fakenham, and Trixster, who scored two from three in the autumn at more southerly venues.

Trixster does well at around this trip but it’s new to Skandiburg. Do you go for experience or the unexposed? Maybe Trixster at 3.75 is value over Skandiburg at a shade less than even money.

2.05 Kelso The next race of quality is this class 2 handicap chase, again with a decent raider from Wales, Beggar’s Wishes for Peter Bowen.

Mount Mews is a course winner but has moved trainers a couple of times. Eureu Du Boylay is up in the ratings for back-to-back wins in December.

Brilliant training of an unruly animal by Sandy Thomson has seen Dimple (3.9 BETDAQ) win over both fences and hurdles by wide margins, and he could have still more to offer.
