FROST WARNING FOR A WINNER AT FONTWELL: After two seconds, it was third time lucky for Daqman yesterday with Fox Champion (WON 11-8) on the All Weather surface at Kempton. Faced with nine nurseries among a plethora of two-year-old contests, Daqman goes to Fontwell for a 10-point bet, expecting another winner for Bryony Frost. His 20-point nap opens Newmarket exchanges. Cue for some Daq Multiples.

RAINBOW HEART IS ALL CLASS
CANYON FOR A QUICK DOUBLE

RAINBOW HEART IS ALL CLASS

1.30 Newmarket He’s got the draw, and this two-year-old already has some form in the book. Rainbow Heart also has Ryan Moore booked by the same owner-breeders who produced Sea Of Class, likewise trained William Haggas. I could get 8.7 to 10.0 staked.

2.35 Newmarket Martyn Meade likes to employ Frankie Dettori when he saddles something good; example Advertise.

He had to bow to a prior Dettori engagement in the Dewhurst Stakes for a certain Too Darn Hot, but Advertise was not disgraced in finishing second.

Martyn has Dettori back today for King Ademar, who was made favourite under Oisin Murphy on the debut at Chelmsford but failed to get a clear run and finished fourth.

King Ademar’s price shot up between his yearling sale and the breeze-ups, a nice little earner on looks alone, without his ever seeing the track.

But the ‘price’ we’re concerned about this morning is the 7.4 on BETDAQ (2.28 the place), all made up for us by market demands for Light And Dark, who showed promise on today’s course a fortnight ago.

In the meantime, Saeed Bin Suroor’s two-year-olds have finished 1234311310, though his 12 juvenile winners this year have been at a medium level (no big noises) for prizes averaging £7,500 to the winner.

3.45 Newmarket Major Snugfit is a son of Ruler Of The World, now standing at Coolmore and straight into the headlines with his daughter, Iridessa, at the head of the Oaks 2019 market after winning the Fillies Mile.

Though a 52.0 BETDAQ offer early mouse, Major Snugfit – down to HQ from Yorkshire and getting almost a stone from the favourite – is already a 7.5f winner and will appreciate the step up to 1m 2f.

It’s the first of nine nurseries today, in which the main recommendation is: follow the BETDAQ market later on but it doesn’t hurt to take a position if you think an offer is a mistake.

5.30 Newmarket Blinkers newly fitted on his handicap debut, and with a top jockey up for the first time, suggest that Four Mile Bridge is up for this nursery, despite 12.0 BETDAQ offers this morning.

CANYON FOR A QUICK DOUBLE

7.15 Newcastle The early money with the bookies (but 8.6 on BETDAQ) was for Frosted Lass, another blinkered first time in a nursery, and for a stable which has shown an overall profit of more than 37 points with its two-year-olds on AW.

JUMPS: 2.50 Fontwell Smart Boy has form figures of 13 when fresh since joining Jack Barber and 321 when partnered by Nick Scholfield, as he is in the 2.50 Fontwell.

But trainer Neil King can offset some of Canyon City’s penalty by booking Bryony Frost for her 3lb claim. The five that finished behind Friday’s runaway Fakenham scorer were all winners earlier in the year. I took 3.0.
