EUROPA LEAGUE SEMI-FINALS: We look ahead to tonight’s Europa League semi-finals with a recommended BETDAQ bet. The prospect of a London final between ARSENAL v CHELSEA remains very much on the cards.

ARSENAL V VALENCIA

8pm It’s been a very busy week in Europe for Premier League sides and we have Arsenal Chelsea in the Europa League semi-finals tonight! Looking at Arsenal’s form would almost make you laugh; how does one explain a side beating Napoli in both legs only to then go and lose to Crystal Palace, Wolves and Leicester. Perhaps Arsenal are the only side that could do that! More worrying for Arsenal is the fact that they have conceded three goals against each of those three sides and if they don’t bring their a-game tonight Valencia will walk straight through them.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Arsenal 2.06, Valencia 4.1 and the draw is 3.55. In the ‘To Qualify’ market, Arsenal are 1.83 while Valencia are 2.14. Obviously a lot depends on the result tonight as Arsenal have been woeful away from home lately – their win against Napoli standing out as their only result to be proud of. It’s hard to get away from the Arsenal lay at 2.06 here – we fully expect a closer game than those odds suggest and from a value point of view; the 2.06 lay looks great value. Valencia come into the clash off the back of two losses, however one of those came away to Atletico and prior to that they had only lost once in 22 games. It’s hard to see how Arsenal can stop them scoring given how they have been playing and we’re very happy to lay 2.06.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Arsenal at 2.06.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT V CHELSEA

8pm There’s no doubt that many English fans will look at Eintracht Frankfurt and feel that Chelsea will easily get to the Europa League final here, but do not underestimate the home side! They have lost just twice in all competitions in 2019 and they have had a tougher route to get here than Chelsea. They have come through Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter Milan and Benfica while Chelsea have pretty much had a very easy run of it. This will be Chelsea’s toughest test in Europe this season and it will be very interesting to see how they cope given they are struggling in the Premier League too.

We have an open market with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Eintracht Frankfurt 2.9, Chelsea 2.72 and the draw is 3.4. Chelsea are hot favourites in the ‘To Qualify’ market with Eintracht Frankfurt 2.68 and Chelsea 1.55. The Chelsea lay makes a lot of appeal at 2.72 – they have lost five of their last eight away Premier League games and Eintracht Frankfurt are a very solid team at home. We haven’t seen Chelsea really tested in Europe this season and they have had lots of 1-0 wins – especially away from home. We’re happy to lay the away side tonight at 2.72 and would have the home sides as favourites for tonight’s clash – this will be their biggest game in over twenty years and expect a wonderful atmosphere!

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Chelsea at 2.72.
