EUROPA LEAGUE: We preview Thursday’s Europa League games between RB LEIPZIG v CELTIC, SPORTING LISBON v ARSENAL, CHELSEA v BATE BORISOV and RANGERS v SPARTAK MOSCOW with recommended BETDAQ bets.
RB LEIPZIG V CELTIC
5.55pm We have another action packed evening of Europa League action on Thursday and we kick off with Celtic traveling to take on RB Leipzig. Celtic are desperately in need of a win here as it looks like this is a battle for second position in Group B – results could go their way elsewhere; however Rosenborg don’t look to have the quality to beat Red Bull Salzburg. RB Leipzig are heavy odds on favourite with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; RB Leipzig 1.42, Celtic 9.0 and the draw is 5.2. Leipzig have been in excellent form in Germany thus far this season and Celtic look more comfortable at home compared to away. We feel Leipzig will cover the handicap here and we’re happy to back them -1 on the Asian Handicap (stakes void if they win by exactly one goal) at 1.65.

SPORTING LISBON V ARSENAL
5.55pm The word is that Arsenal are a different side this season and now everyone has picked up on that after they won ten games in a row on Monday night. Games like this are an excellent test to see where they are as a squad though; they have come through some tricky away moments in the Premier League – but can they transfer that over to Europe now? The good news for Arsenal fans is they have been banging in the goals for fun lately and with Sporting not in the top four in their domestic league – it’s fair to say that it’s hard to see them stopping Arsenal from scoring. Sporting have won two from two so far in this Group and although this will be a tough test for Arsenal; we feel now is a good time to back the Gunners. They have scored a whopping 22 goals in their last seven games and they look worth backing at 2.1.

CHELSEA V BATE BORISOV
8pm Another Europa League game for Chelsea and yet another very short price! It’s fair to say that they are vastly above their opponents in this Group – however it’s also fair to say that they have yet to show it on the scoreboard. They are trading as short at 1.15 on BETDAQ at the time of writing but they have yet to impress in this competition. They have had two 1-0 wins against low quality sides and it’s tough to jump at the chance to back them on the handicap with results like that. BATE are a poor side though; and if Chelsea turn up they will blow them away here. We feel that Chelsea are probably staying in first gear in this competition because they know how limited the opposition are; we’re happy to back under 3.5 goals at 1.73.

RANGERS V SPARTAK MOSCOW
8pm Rangers are enjoying life in Europe after a long absence and they come into this tie topping Group G. They aren’t clear top however after just one win and a draw – this Group is tight; however they are in an excellent position to qualify. They have a great chance of picking up another three points here against Spartak Moscow who sit bottom of the Group – they lost to Rapid Vienna who Ranger comfortably beat 3-1 here at the start of the month. They are unbeaten in their ten home games in all competitions this season; winning nine of these games. We feel that they look too big here at 2.34 – we felt that they should be closer to 2.0 and we’re happy to take the 2.34.
