CHAMPIONS LEAGUE THURSDAY: We preview Thursday’s Europa League action between RENNES v CELTIC, EINTRACHT FRANKFURT v ARSENAL, RANGERS v FEYENOORD, WOLVES v BRAGA and MANCHESTER UNITED v FC ASTANA all with recommended BETDAQ bets.

RENNES V CELTIC

5.55pm After some wonderful action in the Champions League, we kick off the Europa League on Thursday night! Celtic will be hoping for a good run in this competition and hopefully an easier draw than last season if they get out of the Group. Of course, we seen Rennes beat Arsenal here last season so we know what they can do in front of their own fans – although Arsenal did have a man sent off.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Rennes 2.24, Celtic 3.7 and the draw is 3.4. In the Group stages last year, Celtic lost two of their three games and it’s fair to say that they don’t have the best of records away from home in Europe. They have had some famous nights at home, but struggle away. The same can be said for Rennes, however tonight with home advantage we feel that they will get the job done and they look ten ticks too big at 2.24.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Rennes to beat Celtic at 2.24.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT V ARSENAL

5.55pm This is a very interesting fixture. Arsenal away from home against a team that’s hard to beat at home – can you trust Arsenal to get the job done? They were woeful in the second half at the weekend against Watford, absolutely falling apart under pressure and that won’t be lost on Eintracht Frankfurt. We all know Arsenal have the class, but they really lack the heart for a battle and tonight is going to be just that.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Eintracht Frankfurt 3.2, Arsenal 2.38 and the draw is 3.7. Arsenal may have got to the final of the competition last season, but Eintracht Frankfurt got to the semi-finals; holding Chelsea twice and only losing on penalties. Arsenal look massively short here at 2.38 and we have to lay those odds – they look the best lay of the day.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Arsenal at 2.38.

RANGERS V FEYENOORD

8pm Rangers will be hoping for a better run in the Europa League than last season, when they started well but fell away to miss out on getting out of the Group. If they are to get out of the Group this season; they simply have to win more games at home. It was tough having Villarreal in their Group, but two drawn games at home will always put you in trouble when you aren’t picking up points away from home.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Rangers 2.34, Feyenoord 3.4 and the draw is 3.55. Feyenoord have may it to the Group stages after missing out last season, and Rangers will see this as a fantastic opportunity to put three points on the board. Feyenoord are a long way behind the top two teams in Holland and with home advantage, Rangers should get the job done here. We feel at 2.34, they are worth backing and should have too much firepower at home.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Rangers to beat Feyenoord at 2.34.

WOLVES V BRAGA

8pm Wolves can enjoy life in Europe after a wonderful Premier League campaign last season. There’s no doubt their aim at the start of the season was to qualify for the Group stages and they have been impressive in their games thus far. Unfortunately for them though, their Premier League form has really suffered – they currently sit in 19th position with only three points from five games. It’s good to be in Europe – but they can’t focus on it too much!

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Wolves 1.61, Braga 6.6 and the draw is 4.2. It’s been a strange few weeks for Wolves – they have conceded plenty of goals in the Premier League, but scored loads in qualifying for the Europa League! They should have too much class for this Braga side though, especially with home advantage and given their run of form in this competition we’re happy to be on them at 1.61 here.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Wolves to beat Braga at 1.61.

MANCHESTER UNITED V FC ASTANA

8pm It may have been a little nervy at times, but Manchester United got back to winnings ways in the Premier League at the weekend at home to Leicester. It will be very interesting to see what approach Ole takes to the Europa League this season – does he give some younger players a chance or does he go with the First XI and really focus on winning the trophy? The reality is they won’t need to be at their best to beat Astana – but we have seen more and more shocks at Old Trafford in recent seasons.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Manchester United 1.23, FC Astana 18.5 and the draw is 7.0. Astana’s best hope will more than likely be trying to stop United and hopefully play out a bore draw – something which has worked for the smaller sides here since Ferguson retired. We can see them sitting back and trying to defend all game, and frustrating United. Under 2.5 goals looks massive at 2.48 – United haven’t been scoring since the Chelsea game and we feel it should be at least ten ticks lower.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.48.
