PREMIER LEAGUE FRIDAY: We preview Friday’s Premier League game between SOUTHAMPTON v BOURNEMOUTH with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended stats.

SOUTHAMPTON V BOURNEMOUTH

8pm It’s been a very busy week with Monday Night Football, Champions League, Europa League and now we have Friday Night Football to enjoy! Nothing separates these two sides in the Premier League table after five games. They sit in 9th and 10th, equal on points and goal difference. Southampton started the season a little slowly, however they have had some good performances since then – drawing with Manchester United and grinded out wins against Sheffield United and Brighton. Bournemouth have had an up and down season already; and you’d slightly worry about them away from home.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Southampton 2.1, Bournemouth 3.9 and the draw is 3.7. Hopefully we get a similar game to the last time here when we saw six goals – that game ending 3-3. Southampton have a good long-term record against Bournemouth only losing once in their last eight Premier League meetings. They’ve also been rock solid at home, only losing to Liverpool which we can forgive any team at the moment, and held Manchester United to a draw here too.

Bournemouth may have grinded out a win away to Aston Villa but they shipped three goals in a 3-1 defeat away to Leicester. Their only standout result was beaten Everton 3-1 last weekend; although Everton are also a side who struggle away from home. We feel that home advantage will play a big part in this fixture and the 2.1 on Southampton looks worth backing. They come into the fixture in winning form and full of confidence – they can add another three points here.
